What equipment are you using for jigs? As much fun as it it to see a bass go airborne,you really don't want it to.They usually go airborne shaking their head to give them slack to throw the hook.Like others said,keep your rod tip down.

I bet it's hard to waking up trying to pee every morning....

My wife watches it....I'm in the other room watching something else. Must be nice having the TV show paying for all those cool vacations they go on.

Maybe she met somebody better while she was gone for the week? Or maybe while she was gone she was noticed by somebody and wishes you would notice her the same? Why was she gone for the whole week? Did you do something to make her disappear that long? It sounds like paranoia to me.Or it could be the fact you just tickeded her off without knowing it.

I don't know about lower crime rate,guess depending on where they are located,but everything else is true.Detroit isn't 100% unsafe. There is a county here(Ypsilanti) that is doing the same thing.They are filming movies down that way because it's so cheap to film it there.Has a lot to do with the same reason as Detroit. People wonder why i stay far,far away from Detroit as much as i can.I don't want to be down that way...specially on the east side.What i can't figure out is why people take so much pride in the city of Detroit with the reputation that it holds. :-/

I haven't found one that doesn't work. Just played with the space monkey last weekend. It works great,but the bluegills took off the two smaller arms on top.Don't toss it in the garbage after that.The bass seem to not mind.It looked identical to the rage tail lobster. I'm becoming a big,big fan of keel weight hooks now.

This isn't about a girl.This is just to show his father if he can't marry the girl he want,then no girl his family chooses will want him.A lot of the guys i used to work with(arabic) had the same beliefs his family does.I don't agree with "arranged" marriages.This guy didn't either. I agree though he took it to the extreme measures. For you guys who think this might be a bad idea,well if you think girls/women just hold you back from your single life this is one sure fire way to stay single for the rest of your life.

Reel is fine.I have done 12# test line on jigs before.You can probably get 100-120 yards on the reel with 12# test.Remember a football field is 100 yards.That's a long ways and a lot of line if you ask me.You don't want to go any lower than 12# test.

Powerworms and culprit are the only type worms i use.I hate senkos. :-/

Ouch...could be your problem right there. Hate to say it....I wouldn't go under a Medium/Heavy fast rated rod at least a 6'6"-7'. All my jig rods are rated at Heavy/fast action.

I set it hard,over the head.You want that hook to penetrate them.A bass will hold on to a jig even if your hook is not penetrated in their mouth.They will let go once they figure out what is happening. It took me awhile too as i wasn't setting the hook hard enough on my first few tries. Many of my jig bites aren't even felt.No tap in the line,no movement of the line.Almost feels as if you snagged a rock or a branch(heavy feeling as you try to move your lure again).This is where "hook sets are free" saying comes from. I want to say about 11 of my 16 fish caught so far wasn't even felt.I just set the hook and ended up having one on. Lucky? No,i call it being safe and trusting myself to set the hook knowing i got one on. If you are pulling that jig away chance are it isn't a bass and it's something small.Or you are setting it too late. If something,anything feels different than what it should feel like,reel down,SET THAT HOOK!

Patience vs. Confidence My whole point in these discussions is that putting Confidence first very likely leads anglers to make bad decisions. Confidence is certainly important, but an angler's first question shouldn't be "am I confident in this bait/color/scent/technique?", it should be "based upon what I know and what I have experienced is this bait/color/scent/technique the right application for the given situation?" If you put confidence first then you can dump a bunch of money on ineffective scents or colors, waste a bunch of time fishing unproductive water, fish productive water ineffectively and end up becoming frustrated with one's lack of success and the confidence that you used to have will be gone. Professional anglers talk a lot about confidence and how much it matters and it likely does to them. The difference is they've already got the knowledge and experience to know WHEN, WHERE, and in WHAT to be confident. For the weekend angler they'll probably be much better served gaining knowledge and experience and trying to ignore confidence. Not that easy as I've got a box full of Traps that never get wet because even though they are supposedly a great bait, I can't seem to catch anything with them. I've been working on that though. Well said tyrius...with that being said my least confidence bait is the senko.Believe it or not i hate stickbaits. That however is not going to stop me from tieing on one.It's not the bait...it's me. :-/

Wait till she's single. I've known my wife for 9 years...the first 2 years she wasn't with me and we were just friends.Her ex-boyfriend was a ***hole....and i patiently waited for her to ended it.She had a lot of respect that i didn't "bug" into that relationship. When that door of opportunity opens then ask her. Because there's nothing more i hate than a dude trying to steal another guy's girl. How would you feel if somebody started asking your girl out while you guys are together?

As far as i can remember I'm at 3 also for bass. Bluegill fishing however is a different story.I gave up counting after 37.

2 years ago there shipping/receiving service sucked. Now since last year they are rocking in their shipping/receiving department.I don't know if they got new people or what....but i can order on a Sunday night and have my stuff by Wednesday afternoon now.

Hope he does C & R in the future...but those words "catch and release" seem meaningless around here where i fish.Which is why I'm very careful on saying what i am using(unless your a personal good friend of mine).I've studied this lake for over 4 years and put my time in.I'm not about to unload 4 years of experience gathered just so a bunch of guys can clean out my spots.No Way! Me and one other dude were the only ones C & R out there.We were the only ones catching anything as well in numbers.There was probably over 50+ people by 5PM. I left at 7pm and the park closes at 8pm. When i left everything kinda died down.I just happened to pick the right lure,right technique,at the right spot(just off a little patch of weedline running at 10-12 feet drop off).I ran into a school of smallmouths feeding...when i released the fish i notice them running for the closest weeds which just happens to be where everybody else was fishing at.So when i returned the rest of the fish i was releasing them off from another side so they went back deeper. Funny thing was i was using a bright green tube that can't be found anywhere around here except online.So my secret color is safe... ;D All they know is i was fishing some weird looking tentacles looking bait. I wouldn't even tell them all what exactly i was using. I'm hoping in 3-4 years i'll have enough saved for a small boat.For now that's just a dream away.

Wise choice....Bait monkey will be happy.
