  1. When you're done with the test drive, let us know what you think of it!
  2. What are you into now Catt? What happened to your Crucials?
  3. I cannot help with those particular rods but the reel you are considering works very well for cranking squares and mids. I prefer faster for lipless.
  4. Wow! Yeah, that's perfectly acceptable??? So if that was even bigger edge it would still be ok?
  5. Each to their own. I prefer Daiwa's Magforce Z for it all, except maybe light lure casting Magforce V comes in well. For me there is no 6 or half dozen about it, Mag Z is the freaking bomb! And...I'm finding the 3D system to be quite stellar as well and on it's way to becoming my new favorite.
  6. It's fun... and expensive these days. Like everything else it's what you make of it. I used to chase walleyes a lot but kind of prefer gettin' after the panfish now instead and prefer to wait for late winter for that.
  7. Best way to go about it right there! Find exactly what you like and take it home.
  8. I hope we get a LOT of rain next spring. I want the lakes WAY up again! Don't want too much snow, but a good bit of safe ice wouldn't hurt. Would like to get after some bruiser 'gills in a couple months.
  9. DT6

Everybody that has a DT6 has a success story.
  10. Worms...without question. Lots and lots of worms!
  11. Never more than 5 for me. I have even used 4 without problems.
  12. Maybe just don't use braid to throw your swimbaits with??
  13. It certainly was a fun November! Geneoh goes on record as the last of us to score... getting bit on 11/27/2016! That's incredible for up here! See ya'll next summer.
  14. They all have their place and I have them all! I do love the X-Rap dearly, have caught many bass on those!
  15. I think it'd be worth your time to talk with DVT Mike about a custom. Get what you want! I bought a Medium power mod fast crankin' rod from him that he'd built on a Mudhole crankbait blank and I absolutely love the thing. Great sensitivity, great response/recovery, loads and casts 1/4 -1/2 oz really well. I don't need another crankin' rod but I'd sure like to have him build me another on MH blank for bigger baits.
  16. Got 3 in the mail today. Look fantastic so I'm likely to get a few more! Wish I had found out about these sooner.
  17. I just picked up 3 of those. Quite different design, looks good! Looking forward to trying those next spring.
  18. Didn't Bagley have teflon coated trebles on some of their baits many years ago? I know I have some cranks with teflon coating on the hooks but they are black, not gray. Hmmm...I don't know about that, but they probably won't rust.
  19. Where can I get a look at some of these? I tried Barlows but the one they have looks nothing like a Pointer 100
  20. Oh yeah....those were really good pork frogs! I still have about 4-5 jars of those! They were better than Uncle Josh #11!
  21. I can read. You've mentioned it more than once in these forums.
  22. LOL... Nobody would ever buy me one, but if they did we could work a trade! I'd probably at least try it first.
  23. Travel/camp/fish new area/lake one weekend every month. I'm geared for it now, just gotta do it!
  24. Bingo! Plus, I miss my Guido G4 tubes that Luck E Strike used to make. Best d**n finesse tube ever! They were just a tad slimmer and super soft, great quality. Actually, I could probably come up with quite a list. In some cases it's not just the bait but the entire company is gone. Some within the last year.
