  1. Have to keep in mind that these sink on the pause. But yeah, I like 'em and the Shadow Rap Shad too, which rises on the pause. This is great info! Thank you for sharing that.
  2. I hope so because it sells for $50 more at regular price.
  3. Everybody likes the Hackney style! I think some guys embellish their writing, I don't think Hackney does that. He's a guy you can't BS and won't BS you.
  4. Killer deal for $130! I've not fished them but have checked them out. Very nice rods.
  5. I just wipe mine down with the same stuff I use on my boat...Bass Boat Saver.
  6. I wouldn't gear that Sol any higher, but that's just me. I happen to really like that ratio and use my 100M for spinnerbaits. I just got a Tatula CT 5.5 that may end up on this rod.
  7. You have beaver's in every lake you fish? Lots of weeds everywhere I go. Becomes a challenge sometimes...
  8. Yep, we share many reels even going back to the Cabela's Prodigy A. I think that was you, was it? What reel do you have on yours? What did you throw with it the one time you took it out? I can't wait to try this one out! Looking at that tip you get a little concerned but it does feel pretty good. pretty unique build.
  9. That's funny! Maybe we exaggerate a bit but we don't shut down the whole freaking state for 2" of snow that will melt by morning.
  10. Yes, it is. I was just pointing out it was left off the list.
  11. That's because the fish you catch are total savages! I've not tried O-rings just because it adds to the cost of the bait. I'd heard from several others they didn't last longer so just figured what's the point of making it more expensive.
  12. I asked if they could give the weight of these dots/strips, so for any interested here you go. Thank you for the email. Suspend dot/strip weight:1 dot = .2g/ .007oz and 1 strip= .25g/ .009oz Happy fishing! Storm
  13. There is not an older model, they are all the same. get it wherever you want.
  14. Well, I'm not sure yet. Probably try my Alphas Type F to start with and see how that goes. Maybe one of my TD-Z's or a Tatula CT If either of my T3's were 6.3:1, I'd be putting one of those on this rod for certain. Unfortunately both mine are 7:1 and I don't want that on this rod.
  15. Dale, I bought it to do small/light cranks etc (3/16-3/8 or so). I'm going to start there with mine but this is a unique rod with lots of possibilities. I don't plan to push it beyond 3/8 oz, I have other rods for that. I can see it doing well with drop-shot if you prefer a casting rig for that. About anything light down to 1/8 oz maybe.
  16. TAT6101MXB (lure wt ratings 3/32-1 oz) Anybody have this 6'10" M/XF Tatula casting rod? I just acquired one through a very good deal and am curious if anybody here has one and what they use it for. It is labeled Finesse/Drop shot I believe but it is quite unique and would probably be a fantastic light/small cranker as well.
  17. Been real cold here lately, making some serious ice. Open water is a long ways off yet....
  18. Yep. First ever. Several very good tackle shops in my area plus a Cabela's close by so just never tried them. This time, nobody had on their shelves what I was after so figured I'd try them out. I have checked them out before but never had the need.
  19. I spent more than $50, shipping was free. I used those Twitch Sticks to push it over
  20. Just made my first order with TW. VMC Spark Point trebles and a couple Storm Twitch Sticks. Nothing to get excited about, carry on!
  21. And, common sense should factor in as well. There is a common denominator here in this thread and it ain't Lew's!
  22. I don't think they are but I don't know for certain.
