  1. Best deal so far was buying a Curado 200dhsv for 159.99 online shipped to the door minus the $50 rebate = $109.99 Then I got the BPS crankin' stick for $26.50. More to come at the BPS Spring Classic I'm sure!!!
  2. I'm shocked you got one. That reel is baller.
  3. ......then the girl got fired and your honesty put her out on the street, leading to a life of prostitution and heroin use ;D
  4. They flooded into the Kankakee? Oh well, looks like I'm gonna have to bust out the sweet corn and 1/2 oz. sinker and catch some. What a fight!! Alot of ppl go bowfishing for them and actually hit them mid-air as they jump out of the water w/ broadheads, but you probably already know this. Carp are really a nuisance to IL waters and it is OK to kill them. Basically what I do after catching one is to unhook it, then, with all my might, toss it as high and far into the water as I possibly can! BOOM! It's like a bomb went off ;D
  5. $20/bag is cheap?!! I'll be waiting for the Berkley version...in the meantime, I like the swim senkos
  6. So I just heard about these lures the other day and they seem to be pretty sweet. But....they seem to be sold out everywhere. I have heard that they have an exclusive relationship with ONE retailer but WHO is it? Also, what are some alternatives to the Basstrix swim bait? Thanks in advance
  7. They cost around $20, its basically a low profile spincast reel. Would be a good starter reel for children. Oh and btw, I really like the quote in your sig!
  8. I think what you're talking about is this....
  9. Ummmm.....I'm gonna have to say *** trick stix. Not to say it's a bad lure, it has produced for me, just didn't meet my expectations like the GY senko did. One thing I dislike about them is that they don't fall as fast as GY senkos. I would compare them to Yum Dingers. Exactly like them, minus the salt. I HATE that d**n "hook canal" as I like to call it. Next is those Zoom Horny Toads....they just dont produce for me, on top, or below the water's surface.
  10. Any other suggestions for rods then? I don't really care about weight or balance etc.. it makes no difference to me. It's the sensitivity I'm after.
  11. Oh and I forgot to mention it will be matched w/ a Shimano 200dhsv.
  12. Ok, looks like I narrowed it down to these 2. I'm planning on using the rod for soft plastics and jigs. So.... Between the LTX and the AC66MLF...WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?!?!
  13. I can't walk away, I'd fall off the boat! ;D Actually, I could care less about catching anything. The whole reason I fish is to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. If there's no bite, I'll tie on another bait. If that doesn't work, I'll just keep casting and practicing my accuracy and distance and just take a look around and enjoy God's creation. Hope this helps somebody
  14. x2 on that Daiwa Megaforce w/ the twitchin' bar. I own the BPS-exclusive Procaster, ....its garbage. Buy a baitcaster w/ an aluminum frame.
  15. Oh, and here's a link for the orange reel grips someone asked for: http://www.broadwaytackle.com/servlet/the-429/REEL-GRIPS-ORANGE/Detail
  16. uh-oh, that d**n baitmonkey is clawing at my wallet again! Question though, I have never seen this "parabolic" action for a rod, what does this mean? I wanna get a rod for mainly soft plastics and topwater, which action from the carrot stix should I get?
  17. I voted Pflueger, but I might be jumping aboard the Shimano Posse when my Curado 200dhsv comes in this week ;D
  18. That setup looks SICK! How do u guys like the sensitivity of the carrot stix rod? Also, how much did u pay for yours and where's a good place I can get one? I saw some on ebay for around $150.
  19. Finally, it seems as though its on sale IN the store so I can stop heckling the customer service lady for the online price match!
  20. Tell us more! Compare it to the Curado. Casting, drag, build quality..etc.
  21. LOL, best not to think about that....if it ever happens, time to get the knife out ;D C'mon everyone, so many views and so few replies?!
  22. FORGET ABOUT OTHER FACTORS BESIDES THE REEL!! Which baitcaster that you have owned has given you hands down the best casting distance? Thanks for the great replies so far, guys
