  1. Wait until the reel trade-in and get it for $49.99. I played around with it before at my BPS, he put it on a mini rod w/ a casting plug for me too. It is a really smooth reel and has a great feel to it. Features I noticed that sold me were the non-cheapout magnet adjustment switch(I hate the one that comes on the Procaster 6+1), the twitchin' bar, and the big reel grips. For $60 MSRP, there is nothing cheap about this reel.
  2. Oh rly? Where did the parts in the computer that you're using right now come from?!?
  3. Add a Strike King 3X Zero in Grn. Pumpkin and a Rapala Shallow Shad Rap to that list and thank me later
  4. Looks like an unholy combo of a jig and a crankbait. I'll be ordering a pack from TW soon Martens was on the Bass Champ Journal podcast a few weeks ago and he sold me....even though he sounded like he was high ;D
  5. Spro BBZ-1 does the trick, from what I've seen and heard.
  6. Somebody answer this question!! Inquiring mind want to know ;D
  7. Definitely a very nice buy and a great addition to anyone's arsenal. $30 for this rod is Grand Theft Blank.
  8. I'm pretty impressed!!! lol I think I'm gonna spend like $200 this year. Definitely gonna take a good, hard, look at that $80 President.
  9. I think I'm gonna pick up that Megaforce reel, the Extreme rod for $60 and different cranks/soft plastics
  10. Nice fish. Socks w/ sandals....not so much ;D
  11. in order.... 1. Strike King 3X Zero rigged weightless 2. GYCB 6" Senko rigged weightless 3. Zoom Super Fluke....weightless 4. Rapala Shallow Shad Rap, I believe its #7 5. GYCB Swim Senko I'll be focusing on jigs and swimbaits this year
  12. Some really nice fish there! Great job. Try Strike King Zero's, identical fall rate as GYCB senko's and cost $3 even for a bag. Also, they're MUCH more durable!
  13. Well, in my neck of the woods, 1/8 oz is a little on the heavy side. Sometimes I wonder if it 'really' boils down to personal preference or is it more about "peer pressure". Several posts make it sound as though casting gear is something we must force ourselves to get used to, ya know like castor oil. Then I suppose I need to learn how to cast with my dominant arm, then pass the rod to the other hand after every cast. How kool is that, now I must fight the fish with my weaker, less sensitive hand, while my good arm is wasted cranking up slack line. As preposterous as that sounds, it is exactly what millions of anglers have forced themselves to do. I'd be a little careful with that follow-the-leader mentality, and understand that the profit motive is driven by tournament fishing, which frequently conflicts with the needs and enjoyment of the recreational angler. Like Fish Chris and LBH, I too prefer spinning tackle, but have every intention of switching, just as soon as hell freezes over Roger Good post but IMHO, casting gear makes longer and more accurate casts than spinning gear. If you don't like the idea of fighting fish w/ ur weaker arm(say left), you can always buy a LH crank baitcaster. Works both ways.
  14. x2...but I pretty much use baitcasting gear for everything since I don't fish the small stuff ;D
  15. I don't understand. If you take ur cranking hand off the handle to use the bar, your rod hits the ground lol. How about using your left hand while cranking w/ ur right...
  16. I am also wondering what kind of sales they have. Can anybody share their past experience here? Especially on the prices of the BPS rods
  17. MAN UP!!! Fine, if you think smearing dodo on peoples upper lips is cool, then that's cool. I'm just a guy with an opinion, and I'm not selling out to catch a fish. Assumingly, you posted here because you are looking for opinions or suggestions to your problem. I already gave you mine. If you have a problem w/ their advertising, don't buy their product. You said, "Why risk so much on this type of image?". It's called target marketing. In fact, I just placed an order for some of their sweet beavers. So, in essence, you just helped promote and sell something you are completely against. Have a nice day
  18. I toyed around w/ it for like 20 mins at a BPS by me. The quality, ergonomics, and smoothness are there. I'm probably gonna pick one up at the Spring Classic this year.
  19. Mine is a Rapala Super Shad Rap
  20. Where did this incorrect info come from? I've seen it here multiple times. From idiots who don't know how to read offer stipulations, and as a result, lose $$.
  21. Hey buddy, buy a curado D through Simmons Sporting Goods on Ebay. You can pick one up for about 149.99. E-mail the guy and ask him to print you out a receipt from their retail store and he will. They are an authorized retailer of Shimano. It worked for me and I got the rebate making my Curado 200dhsv about $109.99 total Hope this helps.
  22. Maybe you accidently loosened the drag before you tried to hoist it into the boat?
