  1. Yamamoto Kreature and Zoom Super Hog (bought by mistake thinking it was a brush hog but turns out good fish anyways!)...
  2. NICE FISH! you gotta figure that the big ones wanna eat too, right?
  3. Wow, that thing is almost mythical! lol NIIIICCCCEEEEE
  4. Skinned on the outside of the belly? WHAT?!? I rig mine w/ a 4/0 EWG Gammy hook trigged weightless skinned on the SPINE or top of the bait. EEEEAAASSSYYYY hooksets....and great action. I think 2/0 or lower is just too light for the fluke.
  5. I would go w/ a MH rod. If you wanna go cheap get a BPS graphite series rod. I have 2 and at 30 bux a piece, they're a steal. Great backbone and sensitivity!
  6. Around $80 on ebay gets you a brand new Pflueger Trion narrow spool shipped. I own one and it is a VERY smooth reel and holds a ton of line. Good luck
  7. It happens to me too. What kind of hook r u using? I use a gammy 4/0 ewg. I've found that if u stretch it a bit when you trig it, it will stay on better. But I've heard superglue works great.
  8. Man, there shouldn't even be any question about what kind of knot to tie. PALOMAR ALWAYS!!! lol ....at least for me anyways. You'll bend the dang hook before the palomar breaks and i think it is incredibly easy to tie.
  9. Just barely put it in there. Try to "skin" it in the worm, don't put it in deep. When a fish gets a hold of it, it will practically hook itself....the greatest advantage, and detriment, of the senko is its incredible softness.
  10. trigged and wacky refer to how you put the hook in the bait. Wacky rigged means you put the hook right in the middle of the worm and let it hang there with the hook exposed. You fish it in open water to avoid hangups and just pull it along w/ your rod and reel in the slack, you can also jerk/twitch it. Good luck fishing!
  11. Keep the worm weedless. Tuck the point of the hook into the worm a bit to make it weedless. After you cast, wait till the worm hits bottom, reel in the slack, and drag it along the bottom w/ ur rod, wait for strike, reel in the slack, drag again...repeat. Almost a guarantee you'll catch fish this way.
  12. That's nuts!! What did you catch em' on?
  13. I use a 4/0 which, I think, gives me a better hookset. Additionally, I like the weight it provides over say a 1/0 or 2/0, it lets me hit bottom fairly quickly and of course, better casts w/ my baitcaster.
  14. Great looking Bass! What color senko? I usually use Green Pumpkin. Badkarma: good response! too funny! lol
  15. Its awesome, isn't it? The only bad thing that if you t-rig it w/ the hook embedded, your hookup ratio is going DOOOWWWWNNNN.
  16. What he said :
  17. He got what he deserved!....lil' wretched lol
  18. I'm surprised you didn't pull up the stump complete w/ roots!
  19. Keep doing what you're doing!!! This isn't a job! Fishing is supposed to be fun, learn and experiment with as many different lures/reels/techniques you want! If you want to learn baitcasting a little faster tho, just bring the baitcaster out on the next trip, leave the spinning stuff at home.....I promise after you master baitcasting, you'll never touch the spinning gear again!!(except for skipping under tree branches... d**n that backlash!) ;D Good luck, have FUN and share your knowledge of fishing w/ others.
  20. Awesome! I'm sure your son is gonna wanna go fishing more often now!
  21. Mine was just yesterday at 4.5 lbs. Caught on a Strike King 3X Zero on the edge of some lilly pads leading into deeper water....
  22. Pretty cool man. I bet the trout taste great!
  23. Yea, seems like Texposing is the most practical solution.
  24. I'd def. say 8-9 lbs. They're fun to catch huh? Like out of control torpedoes in the water!
  25. Well put together and entertaining vid. Do you fish public or private lakes out there?
