What water temperature do Northern bass tend to spawn? I mean like in the Minnesota area. Thanks.

Here in Minnesota, Bass doesn't open till May. I went out last week, and today to buy lures. I bought 6 or 7 packs of soft plastics, some jigs, and shakey heads. I've been pitchin' n flipin' in my room for weeks.....I am so amped up for May!

In "Al Linders Largemouth" fishing secrets movie, he uses a Lizard up here in Minnesota. He catches a ton of bass and a lot were lunkers. I can garentee there are no lizards here in MN let alone in the lakes haha. I'm going to be trying lizards out a lot to start the season..

Now which is better, Baitcasting, or Spinning for crankbaits??

Got a question. If I bought a 6'6" or 7' crankin' rod, are they only good with cranks? I mean, if cranks weren't working that day, what else could I rig on that rod? Thanks.

What are really good crankbaits for good prices? I love Rapala, but $7 each is hurting the wallet. What other cranks do you have luck with at a good price?

Soft Plastics! I put in a lot of time with soft plastics, nothing!! This year, I'm starting out the season with them. Not going to stop until I catch a bass on them.

I like castin out jigs and hopin them around. 2nd is shallow crankin.

I have a Revo S. It's okay, but takes some gettin' used to. My spinnerbait rod is 6'6" MH XF Shimano Clarus with 30lb powerpro.

I'm purchasing a Muskie rod and reel soon. I'm either getting a Fig Rig or a Shimano rod. My question, what is the best Muskie reel for under $130? I was looking at the Abu C4 or 3, also, the Daiwa Millionare. Any other suggestions are great. Thanks!!

So they do not need to be balenced?

I know there was a topic on this before, but I never really got a good answer. What do you have your brakes set at? Mine are all off and I have problem with line over-run (not a backlash). Thanx.
