  1. Zoom Trick/Finesse worm, or Missile Baits Fuse.
  2. Just take a couple protein bars and water. I am a co so I will not take anything that will stain the boat. The bars are quick, easy and keep me going for the day.
  3. Lightening is about the only thing that generally keeps me off the water. To high of a risk being out in it with lightening rods is your hands. Last thing you want to be is the high point holding something that conducts electricity.
  4. Ha ha....its on the left side of my chest.
  5. With a second person the jon boat will be your best option. Try to get the widest one you can, length is important too but width will give you stability.
  6. It should work just fine, the extra length will help give a little casting length. As long as the weight of the bait you throw is enough to load up for cast it will be good for jigs, t-rigs, c-rigs and everything else a MH does. Extra length will not change that.
  7. Yet another reason to not use IE for anything except to download Firefox or Chrome.
  8. If you have any systems with XP and internet connected considered it compromised. Very bad idea to still have them.
  9. Check out fishonbassanglers.com, been fishing with them for 6 years. Great group of guys to fish with.
  10. My fishing tattoo is the yin yang symbol, one side is a largemouth the other a smallmouth. Nice reminder to keep balance in life.
  11. Not a shore guy in that area but I think the area around Fletchers Boat House is good from shore. Maybe someone confirm this?
  12. Never heard any of those questions...
  13. I am always intrigued by the statement "to slow for me". If the bite is slow and that is all the bass are hitting, not catching bass is better than simply slowing down?
  14. Dinks vs Losing....not a competition. I will do whatever is needed to win.
  15. Catt, BFL and MLF are two completely different formats.
  16. Referring to smaller bass and 5 fish limits really doesn't fit this discussion. In the MLF the OP asked about its not about the biggest 5, its total weight of any keeper size fish. Not 100% sure no one fishes it but everyone is going to fish what they believe is their strength and what the are comfortable with. What may be a comfort bait to us may not be to them.
  17. Mike is awesome, you would not be disappointed in reel repair or his custom built rods.
  18. I think the "swivel" he is referring to is the hooks like the VMC Ike dropshot hooks. The eye of the hook has a wire thru it with a look on each end to tie to. This makes it easier to tie on, and reduces line twist. I use the same type of hooks but run straight flouro. I would avoid using braid to the top line tie in clear water. Leaders are not that bad, take a look at the Alberto knot for braid to flouro connection. If set on using braid I would personally use a leader tie the flouro to the top hook tie, then take another piece of leader material to the bottom line tie for the weight to attach.
  19. questioning why i have stayed... I am just north of dc.
  20. In the low to mid 30s now, still snowing.
  21. We are around 24 inches, with as many hours as we have left we will be in the 30 inch range. The fence in the pic is 5ft
  22. I would not recommend a 4x2, yes it is a little less mpg for 4x4 but you do not want to put yourself in a position of not being able to get out of a bad ramp. Fortunately most ramps are decent but some are not. It is a minor expense which could be huge one day. One person in my club went the 4x2 route and regretted it rather quickly.
  23. Most of the forecast for my area have low to mid 20 inches Friday evening into Saturday.
  24. With Iran throwing a bunch of cheap oil in the market it sure doesn't seem like the price will go back up anytime soon.
