I need help picking out a Revo
I personally have a Revo S, with the centrifugal brakes I just made the initial setting (2 brakes) on and haven't touched it even after ceramic bearings were installed. I had one reel with the magnetic brakes and never got confortable with it. Was always a little to much or too little. I do not use it anymore, the Revo is my favorite, also have a citica.

Trip to Black Hills
Well let me know what day you might make it, with my currently work schedule I am off thursday and friday each week. So that is when I am doing most of my fishing, was in training last week so didn't go until saturday. With the water temp's I think the ones I got were males preparing to spawn, should (hopefully) pick up pretty soon on larger fish.

Trip to Black Hills
Well finally got a chance to take the boat out to Black Hills yesterday, was slow most of the day but managed to get 7 total mostly dinks with the best of the day 15 inches. The water temps were about 57 in the main lake, with 61 in some of the small coves. Tried everything I could think of but all bass were caught on a 4 inch watermelon senko, they really didn't "bite" just weight when I went to move the bait. Ended up also losing 4 bass. The interesting part of the day was while I was using a Red Eye Shad in sexy shad. The was was only about a foot deep but dropped quickly to about 10-15ft. A lot of baitfish were showing on the fish finder, so I casted into the shallower and yo-yoing it down the dropoff. Thought I got stuck but it started swimming. After a tough fight I landed the 8lb 11oz carp, was shocked to see it was actually lip-hooked. Not what I was after but it was fun.

magnetic braking
Couldn't agree with you more Burley, the centrifugal brakes were easy to get setup up and once I did never touch them... the magnetic brake reel i don't use anymore was a mess never could get a good setting for it no matter what I did. and it didn't have a dial on the outside. to adjust the mag brakes you had to remove the cover.

magnetic braking
No adjustment at all? Some of them you have to remove the cover opposite the handle to adjust, never seen one without any adjustment.

Just a little advice..
I love my 14ft jon, I will say is go for the widest bottom you can get. The wider they are the more stable, also when planning out the desk watch how high you make it the higher it is the less stable.

Dunno why I thought of this
I have a revo s and a citica 200d out with Reel Mechanic from this site and he put in ceramic bearings in them. Once I get a chance to get out with them I will let you know the results. But as he put it, I will have to relearn them so it should be pretty impressive

Problem with Digi Cam - SD memory card
One thing to keep in mind is, when you have anything memory wise connected to your computer there is an in the set of small icons by the system clock to Safely Remove Hardware, if available use it. If not you run the risk of corrupting your data, 99 times out of 100 it may be okay, but that one time.......

Deep Creek Lake question
Trying to setup a camping trip for memorial day weekend at deepcreek lake in Maryland. My question for those familiar with it, I have never been there, is.... I have a 14ft jon, 25hp outboard, its has a 34in bottom. Is this okay for use in this larger lake or to big of a risk?

Vertigo
has anyone been put in "the chair" at their neurologist? You get strapped into a chair in this small circular "room" barely bigger then the chair and when they shut the door its pitch black dark. They start with different light displays having you track them with your eyes, since your strapped in and catch move. After that you get spun around at different speeds. I went in feeling fine, came up screwed up for a couple of hours.....

Drinking and fishing ???
The people that concern me are the ones on monday morning you ask how there weekend was and the first response is, great we got so trashed....or something along those lines. If you life is such crap you have to use how much you had to drink to show how "good" it was you need a real life.

Vertigo
Oh do I know how you feel, after having migraines for about the last 20 years, including the ocular migraines, I get periodic vertigo. Most of my migraines are centered in my inner ear which causes mine, after to many of these I have essential tremors for about the last year and a half. Basically my right hand shakes most of the time, sometimes a little sometimes a lot. Its no joke, make sure to listen to the doctors.

Drinking and fishing ???
Personally, I don't drink at all while fishing, except I am night fishing from the bank and stop well before its time to leave the next day. There is no excuse for drinking and driving, period. If anyone thinks its okay if they only have a "buzz" or they are somehow super human and can have a couple and still drink needs to be on the scene of a fatal wreck caused by someone who only had a couple. The image doesn't leave your mind....

Reel repair/upgrade
Curious, doesn't anyone know of a reputable reel repair/upgrade shop in the Germantown MD area? Would like to get some work done, and would use Reel Mechanic from this site however don't want to have to send the reels away and be without them for to long.

What were your most scary points in life...
1. Getting kicked out of the PICU a couple hours after my 5 week old daughter had open heart surgery and things were not going well. She is not 11 years old with no issues. 2. Starting life over again after a seperation/divorce, I walked away from just about everything in my life but family. 3. Getting laid off from a job I had for almost 16 years, I started there at 19 years of age, worked out a lot better in the long run.

Switching to baitcasting
I just made the switch this year and started with a Revo S, and loved it. Got a Citica once I figured out the Revo. Last couple of trips I have barely touched my spinning rods, love the BC's. Of the two I have, go with the Revo....

Magforce Z problems
Are you getting the backlash on the start of the cast or more towards the end? How heavy of a lure are you you attempting to cast? If you have the cast control set very light you may want to tighten it some to help.

Favorite Paddletail bait
became a fan of the Yum Money Minnow yesterday, was my first day throwing it and was impressed with how it swam. Have tried the swim senko some and it does look good also.

Hooksets on Yum Money Minnow
Thanks to all for the tips, got to love this site. Can't tell you how much better my setups are, so excited about this season. Anyway, ordered some larger hooks, was the perfect excuse to make a small order. Got some yo-zuri hybrid (10lb) have to confess had mono on the one BC reel while I learned it, and got a TT 4in swimbait......
