  1. pretty sure this is where the thread would go. i can skip baits under docks and stuff pretty good with a spinning rod, but not so much with a baitcaster. after the bait hits the water, it backlashes. how do you skip with a baitcaster? thanks
  2. AWESOME! second pic is really funny! ;D
  3. that story really sucks. well the story doesnt suck, what happened sucks. ;D my only suggestion is to not be afraid to lip a bass w/ a crankbait in its mouth. i have my own three rules for lipping a crankbait bass: be confident be careful be fast you have to be confident and not wimp out. you have to be careful so that you dont get hooked. when you see a time that you can get a thumb in 'er, GO FOR IT! dont hesitate. also, if you still cant lip them, try putting your hand under their belly and cradling them and lifting them that way.
  4. saaaaaaaaaaame here
  5. hey guys, my jonboat leaks, but it only leaks enough to just p**s you off. i am unable to pinpoint the leak, because i think it is coming from under one of the bench seats. i was wondering if there is something that you can cover the entire hull in that will seal it?
  6. of course i've heard it! i wouldnt make a claim like that without at least hearing it first ;D really though, its incredibly drawn out. there is nothing appealing about that song to me.
  7. three words: PADDLE TAIL TUBES
  8. yeah that would be awesome. i think its neat when the lure travels to different countries! buckifan, dont worry about it, i saw you were new but you were actively posting on the boards pretty often. LETS KEEP THIS THING GOING!!!! (and we need to subject whoever loses this lure to cruel and unusual punishment...hehehe)
  9. absolutley hate that song. its so long and slow and drawn out. there is nothing appealing about that song. just a bunch of lovey dovey slow riffs. very drawn out song. of course, that is just how i feel about the song, dont take offense to it. there are very few GnR songs i like actually...
  10. i like to be out the door by 6:30 am. unless im evening fishing (which i really like) then i will leave around 5:00 pm.

  16. St. Croix Avid AC66MM------AWESOME CRANKBAIT ROD!!!!!
  17. cough...cough... 30lb + braid.
  18. its simple really, all you gotta do is buy me a lot of stuff, don't worry, im not picky
  19. ok well im not sure if i will be catching too many 15lbers : ;D so i think i'll be alright. another reason i want this scale is to handle pickerel. i catch a lot of pickerel but i hate handling them cuz they are so slimy and i have been bit more times than i would like :.
  20. why didnt you try the method where you loop your line around the hook, push down, and pull? if i ever get hooked, thats what im gonna do.
  21. what is it? :-?
  22. Ultra shallow (surface wakebait): Bandit Footloose Shallow: Rapala DT 3 or DT 4 Medium: Rapala DT 6 or DT 7 Deep: Rapala DT 10
  23. rapala DT 4's and 6's. trust me, they WILL work, you just need to fish them a lot.
  24. well when you think about it, lipping a bass with your thumb puts all of its weight on a small percentage of its body too. i dont wanna use a bag because i dont wanna damage the fish's protective coating. wouldnt a plastic clamp be pretty much the same as the jaws on the lip grip scale?
  25. a lot of the bass i catch have red lips. i have always assumed it was from heavy feeding, or from eating something hard like crawfish. as for the tail, well that looks like some kind of infection. those kinds of sores dont result from spawning. the tail of a spawning bass will just have some blood or red irratation on the underside of the tail, and sometimes a good portion of the tail will be worn away from fanning.
