  4. sunday i had a 4lb pickerel right at the boat and i was trying to get a grip on this thing, it wouldn't stop thrashing and its so slimy i couldn't get a good hold on it. in the struggle the hook ripped out, and immediately after the hook came out i reached under the fish , around the belly, lifted it up, and then it swam out of my hand. i do not count that as a fish caught...
  5. rapala cranks for the win! the DT's are my favorite. i think that rapala is the best bang for your buck. an excellent crankbait for 6 or 7 bucks is a no brainer for me. bandit's are cheaper and slightly less awesome than rapala, but still good.
  6. so this contest is over now, and it sucks because just last night i caught a 4lb 0oz bass which would have given me 39.96 points, but rules say fish had to be submitted by 7am yesterday..oh well.. so who won?
  7. i've always broken off the bottom of the front arms, but i think next time i'll try breaking off the front for a more wiggly action.
  8. i'm a little confused since the ebay link in the original post has expired or something like that...what was the point of the thread? and what was the point of all those tackleunderground gallery links?

  16. you never said what you were fishing with. i'd fish in that stuff not avoid it! it will definitely hold fish, and its not the kind of vegetation that gets stuck all over your bait even if it is weedless. fish a texas rigged plastic in that stuff. you might want to try a pegged weight to so that your bait can penetrate into the weeds.
  17. i just downloaded this album and its ridiculously hilarious! i love how much of a satire on hip hop it is, considering how much i hate hip hop..

  23. either buy one of those portable little hot tip tools like mentioned in the previous two posts for about 20 bucks, or go to walmart and get a woodburner from the craft section for 8 bucks. the advantage of the portable one is..well...its portable, but its expensive and the wire tip will eventually burn out. the advantage of the wood burner is its cheap, it will last, but you can not take it out on the boat or shore with you.
