  1. Pretty nice light colored bass you have here. Yeah I would prefer if you release them but keeping a couple average size bass for dinner every so often doesent harm the bass population much. Great job.
  2. Looks like you had a great trip....I have never caught 2 largemouths over 6 pounds in one outing before....yet again i dont go out long.
  3. I dont know if this is even possible to do or if there is enough space on the site to do it. What I think would be a good idea is if each bassresource.com forum member could have their own photo album or trophy case in their profile. And if possible they could add a description or story to each photo. This way a member of the site could go to another members profile and see what they have been catching. I love seeing what other people have caught and love shareing what I catch as well. However I do not know if its possible with the space we have or if the admins are willing to go through the trouble of adding something like this. Its just a suggestion and if it is not possible I understand.
  4. Actually after looking again id say hes just over 2 pounds. No hard feelings its just that bass is not very fat. Hes one of those long skinny fish.
  5. Seems like a great trip. No huge fish caught but you got good numbers of small to average fish. I would consider it a great trip. That big fish was probably just under 3 pounds im guessing from the picture but I am not sure.
  6. Fish Chris's photos always turn out good.
  7. nice popper man. I have that same one.
  8. matthewj52001 tht photo makes me angry...who would do that to a fish they caught.....
  9. "Remeber a bad day on the water is still better than a good day at work!!" best origional quote i have heard in a while.
  10. Nice fish....what type of fish are they though?
  11. I once caught a fish smaller than the bait i was useing....lol
  12. I cant seem to catch the bass that big.....cant even get those monsters to bite. Great catch
  13. That is a fat bass with a big mouth
  14. Next time its realy windy im going to try spinnerbaits too.
  15. The thing I find interesting about your comment is that you caught a catfish on a topwater lure. I have never hear of catfish takeing topwater lures before. I head them takeing spinner baits and swimbaits but not topwater lures. That is very strange.
  16. Nice healthy looking bass you got here. He is very unusually dark colored. I dont know if I have seen a largemouth that dark.
  17. Strange thing is I just got back from fishing a couple hours ago and had the same thing happen to me. The sun was just starting to go down and I was throwing a torpedo topwater lure. I manage to bring in a small bass that was probably under a pound with one hook in the lip the other hook lose. I grab the fish to get the first hook out when he shakes and stabs me with the hook thats not in the fish. Then when the hook was still in my finger he thrashes some more. I managed to get the hook out of the side of my finger then out of the bass's mouth. It hurt badly but wasnt as bad as what your describeing here.
  18. Thats a nice looking bass. Looks like it had a beer belly too but I cant realy tell since your pushing it in. Just a tip though when you take a picture with a fish its often better to stand closer to the camera and hold the far out infront of you. The viewer gets a better view of the detail of the fish and makes your fish look bigger. I can still tell its a nice bass from this pic though.
  19. Probably this bass... Dont know how much he weighed
  20. Never realy got why people consider them a "trash" fish. I consider them a good game fish like most people in europe do. Im from california. They are a great fight and grow to huge sizes. A 20 pound carp is more common than a 10 pound bass im pretty sure. My biggest carp ever was 34 inches. I caught him quite a while back on 10 pound test. I would post the picture but its on my dads computer. He put up a huge fight. The carp in your picture seems a bit longer and is probably just as fat as the carp in my avatar. Hes turned so his belly not faceing camera though. I would say your fish is about 9-10 pounds.
  21. I live in California and still consider a 4.5 a very nice fish. If I catch a 4.5 largemouth I consider my fishing trip to be a good one. Great fish.
