  1. I wasnt going to post my pb because I realy think its so big it might make you guys feel bad but il post anyway.... IM warning you.....its HUGE Realy a possible world record....i just didnt have it certified....
  2. I know your spot...
  3. Yeah it would but youd have to fish when they are feeding....and preferably when they are all together in one spot if there are only three
  4. They do not jump like bass...They usually will pull a lot of drag and run back and forth infront of you or make big runs to deep water. From personal experiance I think normal common carp fight harder than kois...
  5. Corn and Bread... Im realy not jokeing...you gotta fish for them in the evening or morning and bring some extra bait to toss into the water in area your fishing... you also have got to find the spots where the carp are. Most of the carp I catch are common carp but occasionally il get a koi
  6. No clue... A goldfish Tiger koi Yellow Koi Orange Koi Albino Oscar Orange/White Koi I have more pics of odd fish but I am at school now and a lot of them are not on my photobucket and are on home computer...
  7. Stupid people are my least favorite thing about fishing....I myself have had some bad experience with idiots on the lakes I fish... Some things I have had to deal with.... People catching bluegills and using them as bait in lakes where its illegal...then keeping the bass they catch with them(which is also illegal in that lake)... A couple kids throwing out floating pieces of bread on trebble hooks to catch ducks... Another couple of kids who were attempting to spear fish for bass... An idiot who was shooting ducks with an air soft gun. And now the worst one of them all... When I was a child (about 12 years old) who first started fishing an older boy probably around 16-17 years old came by on a skate board grabbed my tackle box that was on the ground about 10 feet from me and ran off with it. The nice thing was I got a good look at him so I could describe him well. I told my parents and they called the police who eventually caught the thief...after about a couple months...
  8. Those are good size fish. I want to see a pic of the 1LBer that tried to eat the 8 inch swim bait though...like would be cool to see shot of him with that bait in his mouth lol.
  9. I think next weekend im going to do some carp fishing...I want to catch a 10LB+ fish
  10. Hmmmm... looks like you re-caught my PB
  11. I do not know why but these last couple months I seem to have lost my interested in fishing. Up until Sunday I had not fished for about two months..Well I think I can safely say that I am back into it again now... Went out on Sunday and caught three bass on Senkos and Chatterbaits...here is on of the bass... I also caught a decent size channel cat on the Senko the same day... Today I went out fishing again and managed another three decent bass. I was fishing a very small pond that holds millions of dinks and almost no bass over 3 LBS. I did manage to get this nice bass on a zoom super fluke though... Now the the thing I am most proud of about the bass in the last picture is the actual photo. I had no one around to take a picture so I decided to try to use the delayed action function on my digital camera. I placed the camera on top of a trash can then stepped back, picked up my fish and posed for the picture which was taken with a 10 second delay. Funny thing is I think of all the photos I took within the last two days this self taken one turned out the best...LOL
  12. Brokejews going to be pretty mad about this post. I was just talking to him on aim and he told me since i was a good friend he would tell me what the "secret" bait he used was.... He used a BLUE FOX INLINE SPINNER!!!!
  13. What I do not get is why people say its so wrong to keep a bass and say its perfectly fine to keep a bunch of catfish, crappie, bluegills, trout. Its like the bass is a sacred fish or something. Yeah I think you should be careful how many bass you keep if you want your local lake to continue to have a good amount of bass to fish for but thats the only reason I say you should be careful keeping them. Im not an expert on this subject because I throw all my fish back however from listening to a lot of experts I have learned in most situations keeping some of the smaller bass is actually a good thing. However I personally think you should look at the population of bass in the lake you are fishing. Especially if you like to both eat fish as well as have fish to catch in the future. If it is loaded with small fish then keep a lot of these smaller fish. However if there are not that many fish in the lake and they are pretty balanced in the area of size I would be careful about keeping them. Also if you are fishing beds NEVER keep a bedding bass. Doing this is the worst thing you can do because you are killing the bass garding the nest as well as all that bass's offspring. I personally think it should be illegal to keep a bass that comes off a bed.
  14. I have had some funny dreams that involve fishing. The strangest one has got to be the one where I actually was a bass in the dream. It was strange. I was a bass swimming around. Then I came accross a cheese burger at the bottom of the lake. I ate it and it turned out it was someones bait and I got caught. Then I somehow was able to jump out of the guys boat back into the lake. I also once had a dream that I was fishing for koi carp with corn inside disneyland in one of their fountains. I ended up catching a koi. Then getting chased around the park by security. I woke up from that one sweaty. Guess I realy didnt want to get arrested.
  15. Nice fish and good picture
  16. Who cares? Cant we all just get along
  17. I think it is clear that ruler is over 20+ inches....forgot exactly how big it is but its over 20. Nice Fish!
  18. This is probably something that many people argue about and will get some good conversation going on the forum. Some people consider fishing a sport while others would argue otherwise since it does not take much physical activity appart from casting and fighting larger fish. However other "sports" such as golf do not take much physical activity as well so would they also be considered "hobbys" Do you think fishing is a sport or a hobby? I would say fishing with a rod/reel is both a sport AND a hobby depending on the person. For a person like me it would be a hobby. I fish a lot probably about 4 days a week for 2-3 hours a day if I have time. However I only fish for fun and fun only. I will probably never enter a tourney in my life so for me it is just a hobby. However for some people fishing probably would be considered a sport. Like those guys on the FLW tour that make big money trying to catch a huge weight limit in fish. For these guys being skilled at fishing is what makes them money and for them it would be a sport. These are the guys that take it very seriously and for them it would be worth it to buy that $70 swimbait since it could catch them those couple lunkers they need to win the tourney and get a huge amount of money. So...what do you guys think?
  19. I dont eat anything I catch and have never bothered finding out about how many fish of any species I should keep from any body of water... However about those inline spinners... I find I catch loads of dinks on these. Dinks are basically all I have caught with them so I rarely use them anymore.... However if the inline spinners do not work than most likely the fish do not like them in that pond at least at the time of year or under the conditiions you are fishing. T-Rigged and Wacky Rigged plastics work for most people once they have lurned how to use them. They are a consistant bait that works for me year round. I would stick to these when you want to catch fish. However you will probably get bored of these baits at some point and will probably want to try other baits like jerk baits, cranks, spinners, topwater.....
  20. Hmmmm rapalas costing $7? I get rapalas for about $5 in southern california at about every store I go to. Anyway I am poor myself and usually stick to the cheaper jerk baits, crank bairts, topwater baits. I find rapallas are great baits. So are Strike Kings, Normans. Heddon lures are probably the best valued baits. I find these in wall mart for about $4.00 - $5.00. Storm lures are cheap too but not all of them are good. Wiggle Warts are a great bait though. Another good jerk bait that is pretty cheap is the diawa dr.minnow. It was about $6.00 and probably works better than the rapala origional for me...
  21. I have the spitin image jr, the poppin image jr, and the swimmin image. I have been able to catch a few bass on all three but do not use them often.
  22. Hey guys to be honest I almost never get skunked. I only usually do get skunked a couple times during the dead of winter. However half the time I fish I do not catch a bass over 2.5 LBS. Also when I have been out for a long time and I cannot get any bass to bite I tie on a 4 inch straight tail worm and it will always catch me bass no matter what. Most those bass are about 11 inches but id rather catch dinks than get skunked. Also I avoid skunks by changing up my bait a lot. If I do not get hit on a lure within 25 minutes I tie on something else. I keep changing up my bait until I start catching fish. This is unless I am trying to learn to use a bait I have never thrown before. In most situations I have found you can avoid the skunk. you just have to find out what the fish want at the time. Also as I said before if all else fails...I tie on that 4 inch straight tale worm.
  23. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I HAVE BEEN OUTDONE!.....IN THE AREA OF CATCHING STRANGE FISH!!!! This is indeed a dark day......
  24. This is something that happened to me on Sunday and I am mad about it still.... Anyway I went bass fishing and took my digital camera with me like I always do. Anyway I caught a decent bass pretty quickly (about a 2 pounder) and decided to take a pic of the fish by my rod. I went to take the picture and my Camera would not work. It said "lens error restart camera". Anyway I kept switching it on and off and couldent get the lens to come out of the camera. I then decided it would take a while and released the fish I just caught. I then tried to get the lens to come out of my camera. Then I made the dumbest decidion I have made in my life and tried to take the lens of my digital camera apart myself and try to get it to work. I got it working somewhat but had to pull the lens every time and still half the time I got the "lens error restart camera" msg. Anyway I spend like 2 hours at the lake trying to fix my camera... Then another two at home. Now the lens will not work at all..... Looks like il have to use most of my next paycheck to buy a new camera . Went to Wall Mart today to look at cameras and saw they have a cannon power shot 650 on clearance for $104. I think I will get that one. My broken camera is a cannon power shot 450 that was close to $200 at the time. Anyway I am pretty angry right now..... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
