What line do you prefer for deep cranking? I define deep as 10-15+

Wow, sounds not too good. I can't afford to lose a good fish in 4 days tournament (KY Lake) because of that. I'll stick with DD22 & FFS. Thanks for the head up!

Have met the man once. Good gentleman. I'm not sure of his condition but, on BASS tour I've noticed he wore half mask and gloves in hot months. Just today I was watching his episode for tarpon and snook he was wearing gloves, again. My guess is, his skin does not react well to sunlight or sunburn. Rare disease, forgot what it's called but... Yeah, hope he is OK.

I don't know. I don't like their Sure Set and paint job on those model. I prefer the original DT, I see they haven't upgrade after DT16, yet.

My point is I get sick and tired of Shimano people badmouthing about Quantum all the time but don't see Quantum users doing that to a fan of Shimano. Exactly. Those that have never own nor try Quantum just jump on bandwagon thinking they're bad to not feel left out of Shimano crowd. I use Quantum for 15+ years with no complaint except my error. I have 2 Shimano, 9 Quantum, 4 Abu (catfish). Not saying a bad thing about other brands because all are in working order.

Yeah have had a similar problem with BPS in the past. Haven't order anything on there anymore after new BPS was built in NC, not far from me.

Has nothing do with a brand. Some anglers' neglecting it instead of keeping it well maintenance. In doing so, it will stay durable. Before a new reel hit the market, lets have Shimano unpainted reel paint in Quantum color and slap it with a Quantum model decal. Nobody will know its Shimano reel underneath it and still get badmouth because of the label on the outside. I'll take all of my Reebok shirts stitches off and sew em in "Nike" : I like all brands, heaven sake it just a name.

Not durable? : History speaks itself so does durability, BASS record by Dean Rojas with 108 lbs then Paul Elias with 132 lbs. Both with Quantum. Your last statment, calling ya a bluff. Well we got more problem with illegal immigrants where I'm at they are keeping all the bass up here from dinks to 10 lbs! Not one of them folks release them that I've witnessed. Carrying them on stringers >
