multi-species leader question
Hammerhandles or Snot rockets (small, skinny pike)are the worst for bite offs. If that's what you think is in your lake, I'd start looking at leaders.

Texas Rig / Shakey Head / Drop Shot Combo?
I've always been scared off by the 3/8th max rating - can it handle a 5" or 6" senko?

Ovechkin
Best player right now - yes Best player ever? - he's got long way to go to get to Gretzky, Lemieux or Orr's level. He is fun to watch though.

Glenn, I know you don't control the banner ads but Jimmy Choo shoes? C'mon I don't think the BR membership is their target audience.

Favorite Movie of All Time?
:-? I can't believe no one noticed this. Mine: Godfather 1 and 2, The French Connection, Spinal Tap, The Third Man and Dr. Strangelove FAO SirSnookalot - any idea if this is available anywhere? I'm intrigued.

The Mid-Atlantic is coming to an end.
Why bread milk and eggs? Wouldn't canned goods and other nonperishables be smarter if you are indeed going to be holed up at home for a while? Does everyone make french toast when it snows down there? ;D someone needs to invent a coffee on the monitor smilie

Shimano Saros?
Yes. I like mine as much as my Stradics. The difference in weight is negligible. For the same price as a Symetre it's a no brainer for me.

New Rapala Shift Rods (Canada)
I'm guessing no, at least not this year - the R types certainly didn't make it out of Canada last year.

Going for about $145 plus tax at the only store around here that carries them.

Unsure about Pike
First off, enjoy the fact your new lake has pike - they are lots of fun to catch. Unless your lake grows real trophy pike, your bass gear will be fine. I would recommend using a flouro or titanium leader with any lure you don't want to lose. Pike can slice through braid, mono and light flouro with ease. To land them get a lip gripper and a pair of long needle nose pliers, both are essential for hook removal. Spoons, in-line spinners and jerkbaits all work well for pike.

How far can a baby poop?
A long, long way, but you seem to have discovered that yourself. ;D My little girl managed to get it across the room to the opposite wall from her change table once. The splatter on the wall was like modern art.

I'M BACK! GET UR WALLETS OUT!!!
RW - serious question. You post your arsenal regularly and it includes a lot of sweet gear. How much of it did you actually purchase from the flea market?

FYI: Loomis Warranty
Bantam1, You have always been very helpful and I hope I don't offend you with this comment, but that may be the dumbest policy ever. I guess the "ask no questions" in the Xpeditor Service is literal and once you ask a question, you can no longer use the service. This strongly suggests that everyone should use the xpeditor service. So why not just say Loomis will replace any broken or defective rod for $50 and get rid of the warranty.

Cell ringtone
Ring, ring, ring - I don't think I've ever changed it. I did have the Imperial March from Star Wars for awhile as the personal ring tone for my wife.

your dream lake?
Smallmouth - Dale Hollow or Hastie Lake, ON Largemouth - Falcon or Cal. Delta
-
FYI: Loomis Warranty
I find this slightly ironic given Shimano's well publicized "over the counter" replacement policy.

Shaving
Best shave you can get is with a straight razor. If you have a barbershop nearby that still does the full hot towel, soap and shave, it is absolutely worth it. Best shave I've ever been able to give myself was when I used a cup and brush for lather, just seems to get the hairs up better for shaving. Now that I have to shave every day, sometimes twice, I've gotten lazy, Gillette Fusion in the shower, no cream or soap.
