  1. Unweighted always spinning. Weighted up to 1/4 depends on conditions. Above 1/4 always baitcaster.
  2. Catt, No one questions the existence of natural oil seeps and the GoM is one of the major locations in the North American offshore with seeps. However, total numbers for North American are approximatley 160,000 tonnes per year. Taking an high average of 8 barrels per tonne would yield approximately 1 280 000 barrels per year.
  3. This is my absolutely favourite month of sports. Nothing can touch the World Cup for excitement and drama. Spain have to be favourites. Think Brazil will go far despite being a bit of a boring team. Would love to see the Dutch do well. Not expecting Italy or France to get out of the groups. Agentina could be amazing but Maradona's lack of coaching ability will see them go out in the quarters. Can't wait!!
  4. In the morning - XL Tim Hortons and maybe some timbits, if I'm fishing with the FiL it will be a large box. In the afternoon - water and trail mix.
  5. A spinnerbait with a large Colorado blade (size 6 or 7).
  6. Give Koppers a try. The perch has been great for me. This year I can't wait to try the pumpkinseed crank.
  7. Thanks Steezy. I asked because I couldn't find any Stella FAs for sale on fleabay or any other current site. You've confirmed my thoughts on its potential value.
  8. One's come up for sale on one of my local boards - just wanted to get a sense what the pricing should be. Condition is supposed to be 8/10 cosmetic, 8/10 mechanical.
  9. That's 5 minutes of my life I won't be getting back.
  10. Guy around the corner from me has one and a Merc convertible of about the same vintage. He drives them as his regular summer cars.
  11. In a couple of lakes I fish the smallies absolutely annihilate bubblegum senkos (and any other hot pink bait). In other ones they won't touch them. Still trying to figure that one out.
  12. Scenario 1 doesn't work unless you turn your cellphone off. Scenario 2 well lets just say I can fill in all the keyboard symbols for you.
  13. So jealous right now. Have fun and be safe out there!! Can't wait to hear the stories.
  14. Green pumpkin with black flakes Green pumpkin with copper flakes Watermelon with red flakes I also like bubblegum/hot pink for smallies
  15. My honest answer would be it depends on how often you expect to use spinning gear. I use Stradics because I fish with spinning gear 75% of the time. However, I have used my brother's Symetre and its very nice. For occasional use I would choose the Symetre.
  16. Hang on...I'll catch the next plane to Dulles and then rent a car. Should be there around 5pm, good for you? Sorry, couldn't resist. It's still 60 odd days 'til bass opener here and I'm getting antsy.
  17. No, a few quick photos and back in the water. I don't fish for recognition and the last thing I'd want is hundreds of "record seekers" spoiling my solitude.
  18. I'm intrigued, who's the artist? old crow medicine show Cheers. Off to itunes I go
  19. I'm intrigued, who's the artist?
  20. Many of the older performers already mentioned. I'd also add: The Louvin Brothers Gram Parsons Emmylou Harris The Sadies Hank III
  21. When I signed up my usual nickname on forums was already taken. So, stuck for a name, and having had two rough trips in a row, I picked skunked. Then I added DR for Deep River which is where I do a lot of my fishing.
  22. Congrats on the fish. socks and sandals?
  23. or even those of us who are truly lousy, but are comfortable admitting it.
