Heres my take on his post.. but its just a guess.. when pouring a frog with a -1- pc. mold. while the plastic is still hot, lay in pc. of old baits so they will stay in place in the bait when the plastic sets.. the top side of a 1 pc. frog mold is also the bottom of the frog. 8-)

The Fishin 1 has some good advice. senko style worms work most anytime & most any where.. I rig um the same as he does..Texas.. I let um fall to the bottom them kinda jig um back to the boat.. watch your line on the fall or after a jig, they will some times hit the bait then.. also use feel.. it mite be just a tap ,tap,,then you need to slam that hook home !!! 8-)

I fish it just like you would a top water jitter bug.. in open water just at weed lines and try it close to shore also.. as soon as it hits the water bring it back.. keep it on top,, I love um.. but mostly I only have luck in very early morning..as soon as it is lite enough just to see.

Keep tring the Ribbit,, it works awsome for me.. but mostly on calm water and rite at sun rise in morning..

El.Gr... 2-hours for 50 baits.. 15.00 per. hour.. does that mean your seling the baits for $ 15.00 for 25 baits..?? or,, your making $ 15.00 hour after "all" product is paid for.. ---------------------- 6" stick bait is 8 baits per cup-wow .. they must be huge.. 640 baits per 5 gal. most guys get that per. gallon.

I have had days when they hit any color.. but I also have had days when a certain color works much better.. The color of the sky above you plays a big part to color selection.. darker shades seem to be best for me... Blacks Greens Browns 8-)

Low-BH,, my dad keeps telling me, if the truth gets out. 100s of bait companies would go belly up !! fish can not see different colors... 8-) maybe thats why you like Black !!! ;D just some ones opinion...

I have had days with this bait when.. having the skirt at one end works much better than with it at the other end,some times backward ,some times front ward.. even with the same bait ( same color ).. it pays to try all types of rigging,, 8-)

The 3" Ika is also smaller around.. so it would be easier to rig w/ the 1/0 hook, looks as if he rigs it like a wacky style, but on the end of the bait. the Fat one needs a much bigger hook.. 4/0 seems good. they do work great.. a slow stop & go retreive across the bottom kills um... 8-)

the sense of Humor here is great !!!!! ;D --- this is also a dink !! my fishing partner--- when we pull up to the hot spot and he cast's into the tree on the shore on the 1st cast & we have to run the boat to shore and ruin the spot before I even cast out !!! and not that I ever do that !! :

any baby hawg under 12" is a dink in my boat...

I am with ,, T-Rig and 5Bass on this one.. I have a hard time lying to people , but can stretch the story some.. and the C&R is big for me too. I mainly fish smaller bodies of water. ----

there are a lot of variables,, the material the mold is made out of.. some materials hold heat longer. the larger the bait ( thicker ) the longer it takes to cool, room temp.. can make a dif.. ect. try 5 minutes,, then judge from there ,, if its cool you could take it out sooner.. if its hot & soft leave a little longer. if its messes up,, no problem,, just melt it again.. B-43,, There is a lot of great info on this thread for you to consider... as said before,,, number 1... Location.. number 2 location and even for # 3.. I am living proof that you have a 5-10 % chance of making it in the small buisness world today.. I have owned & operated a small Mom & Pop Grocery store now for 24 years and counting.. the last 10 years have seen a decline in buisness every year.. and it will continue..til I am gone too. (I am still here so I know how to operate a profitable buisness ) my sales people have been telling me for over 10 years your one of the only ones left in the state that is this size..if you are not Walmart or Gander Mt. you better have gas & oil & food & fishing stuff & car parts & Pizza,, ect...there is a gas station on every corner selling food.. So to help me survive & feed the family I stared to make & try to sell fishing baits.. well let me tell ya.. Good luck,,, I have gave out tons of FREE samples,,, donated FREE baits in various places,, and most of the people don't even let ya know if they even got the free samples ( by mail) ,,let alone maybe buy some from ya.. I have caught over 300 bass this last year on my home made baits, so I know they work,, but try to tell a fishernman that,,, its Ego.. got a have Yami... got a have LC.. Do not get me wrong,, these baits they make are awsome,, but the fish do not know what brand they are.. its just ego.. most bites are reaction any way... I have invested apx. $ 4000.00 in molds.. supplies ,, ect.. in the last year.. and have sold apx. $ 300.00 --$ 400.00 worth of stuff I have a small counter in my grocery store,, Tried Ebay,, other web sites,,ect..Gave away more than I have sold,, A lot of guys brag about the Bait Monkey gettin um.. Hmm.. got to wonder about that.. I sell mostly to the kids in town.. they bring there Dads in,, but ya know.. we can go to walmart later its cheaper !!..well most people are fooled by walmarts and others advertising gimmicks..I sell senko type baits hand poued for $ 2.99 a 10 pack,, thats an awsome price.. but they still think that wall mart is cheaper.. they do not even think about $ 3.00 a gallon on gas,, Da.. I would really think twice about it.. as mentioned above,, fisherman are cheap.. I never thought that,, but I guess he is right,, if you got cash to burn & not feel bad about it if you lose it,,, go for it,, it will be fun,, at 1st,, and you will never know til ya try !!!!!! good luck if you do it.. I agree,,, the 4/0 is a better choice,, the 5/0 is touch to big, I also use my needle nose to slightly open up the gap in the hook.. with the fat Ika being so fat. you can miss some fish because the hook gap is full of bait,, getting the hook as far to either end helps because the bait narrows at the ends. the fattie has ben a great bait for me this year,,
