  1. I bought a couple of the regular orange ones with the black eva grips when they first came out and had zero trouble with them. They were really nice sticks. I traded them to a buddy after about a year and he still uses them regularly. Pretty sure they are 6'9" MH.
  2. As a lifetime Longhorn fan, I have a tought time knowing which way to lean. My gut says OU 35-31...something in that neighborhood. I could really care less who wins; if only they could both lose......
  3. Just about to pull the prime rib outta the smoker. Got Brussels sprouts & the green chile and cheese mashed potatoes going as well. Been starving myself all day for this. Merry Christmas guys!
  4. I just cut a thin strip of electrical tape and lay it across the width of the spool
  5. Fat Ika, Outcast RT jig w/paca craw, baby 1-, and 7" power worm
  6. Really diggin the "counterbalance". Good stuff
  7. I'm almost 100% yo-Zuri. I've tried everything out there, and keep coming back to it. I was also a HUGE fan of the gamma copoly.
  8. I know kinda what you mean. It's probably not my longest caster, but I can still bomb with my old school Daiwa TD1SH.
  9. What's your price range? This is an extremely broad topic and price range is definitely a factor.
  10. They are bar none the best buzzbait I have ever fished. Like John said, they are true & squeaky right out of the box. Also, they get on plane quickly and will stay up at a much lower speed than other buzzbaits
  11. Hard to beat an old school slab. Chrome, white, or chartreuse.
  12. Based on your description of what you prefer, it sounds to me like an extra fast rod would suit you better.
  13. I would estimate that 50% of my gear is used. Much of it has been bought right here in the flea market. I have yet to be burned by either a dishonest seller or a bad product. Also, it's a great way to get some higher end stuff that would be out of my price range if new.
  14. MLB the Show only available on PS3. That's enough for me.
  15. I'd be lookin for a used MBR844 GLX. They can be found in really good shape all day in that price range.
  16. Well said, sir. Prayers and best wishes to all of our military and their families.
  17. I almost always fish out of my float tube, so for me, it's a three combo max. I tend to have a pretty good idea of what my presentations will be, and I bring the three setups that will match accordingly. That being said, when I take the boat out, I'm liable to have 6-8 setups on deck and several in the locker.
  18. Same as everything else. 12lb yo zuri. For frogs an buzzbaits--20lb yo zuri.
  19. My fave is easily the rage shad. Tail up on a 5/0 hook. Has been money for me on many a summer morning.
  20. For me, the power is all relative to the cover I'm fishing. M, MH, or even H. The one thing that matters most to me is action. I prefer a fast or even slightly moderate action. Extra fast for senkos just doesn't turn my screws. I feel like I take up more slack than I would like, thus I end up fishing too fast.
  21. Rod: NRX804 Reel: Hedgehog! Plastic: Fat Ika Hard: Baby 1- Wire: Cavitron
  22. I use a Dobyns 705cb and love it. If the 685 performs anything like it, I have no doubt it will serve you well.
  23. I use 8 lb yo zuri on my finesse bc setup. I currently have 12 lb yo zuri on my 50e's.
