Mother Lake Erie

Got my first chance to fish with an old bass resource guy this week. He is a jerk bait fool for sure. One of the few guys who likes jerk baits as much as I do for prespawn bass. Our first day yielded about 40 smallies with six over five lbs & two over six pounds. We had a great day together & learned a little from each other as well. The second day we started off with light winds & headed back to our spot form the day before. Then the wind picked up & continued to build for the rest of the day. We got about 30 bass on the second day with seven over five lbs including a 5-14 and a 5-15. Each a goby away from 6lbs. It was a slow ride back to the ramp in solid 2-4 footers. Special thanks to Jeff for a couple of great days & teaching me a few new tricks. Mother erie at her best.

Awesome Dwight.

Your slowly killing me. On my bucket list to fish there before I depart this world. Glad you had a couple of great days, very impressive.

That does it. I'm moving. I bet you have the camo shorts on under the rainsuit. :D

I was thinking about wearing them over the rain bibs because our temps have been in the 40's but I was afraid the locals at the ramp would run me out of town.

If it will help at all, I donning camo from head to toe - and the fashion police will have to get over it.

WOW - WTG Dwight!

You guys caught more smallies over 5 pounds in two days than I will catch LMB over 5 pounds for the rest of this year...

Holy Cow! WTG Dwight!

I need to start going out on Erie for smallies more this year..... Screw trying to catch dinner I would rather catch those and starve then fish for perch or walleye. I need to get like Dwight and start catching tons of monster smallies.
