I have tried many brands, But I always return to the zoom super fluke. Whats your favorite?

Zoom is my favorite.  For throwing it as a topwater, I like strike King's Z2, it's very bouyant.

none, I have yet to get a bite on a fluke type bait, have given them a real fighting chance but a weedless finesse, stick, or trick worm work worlds better for me. Just my experience though

Yum Houdini shad is my favorite. Downfall is I can't get it in all the colors I like from Zoom. I also really love the Bass Assassin 6 inch twitch.That one is basically a slug-go type bait though but better.

Bass assassins have the best action of them all. I used to fish Zoom exclusively, tried bass assassins and never looked back. In fact, I took all the bags of zooms and threw them away.

The only problem with bass assassins is durability. The plastic is softer than Zoom's.

The 6 inch Slug-go is about as good as it gets for big fish.

Zoom Super Fluke 5 inch for quantity.

Another vote for the Slug-o.  This year its caught more than the Super Fluke.

Only ones I've tried are Lunker City Slug-gos and Zoom flukes and super flukes. Super fluke have yet to catch anything on though, I haven't fished them enough. Flukes though, nosehooked and let sink slowly in spring will work great, but really there's no wrong way to fish these that I've found. I do well with both Zoom Flukes and Lunker City Slug-gos.

I've caught tons of fish on the zoom super flukes, I think the bass assassins are about the same. I also use the Charlies worms twitchin shad's, they work well,and have a little paddle tail on the end that give a little different action, or it can be cut off to have a traditional fluke type action

If I were a bass, I'd sooner whack a Lunker City Fin-S-Fish than a Zoom Super Fluke.

But that only proves one thing...I'm definitely not a bass

Our best producer remains the Zoom Super Fluke, followed closely by the Lunker City Slug-Go.

By the way, am I the only one who's tried the 6" Magnum Fluke?

Although I much prefer the overall bulk of the magnum fluke, I was disappointed by the action.

The action of the 6" Magnum wasn't even close to the lively zigzag darting of the 5" Super Fluke.

I tried many different hookups, and finally gave up on the magnum fluke.

This year, the Houdini Shad was the best of the three.

If you haven't tried it, give the double fluke rig a try. Tie a hook to a swivel, with 12-14" of line between. Slide the swivel onto your main line, then tie a hook to the main line. The swivel should slide freely up and down the main line, stopping at the hook. Rig a super fluke on each hook.

Cast and perform a slow twitching retrieve. If you get the cadence right, it looks like two baitfish chasing each other. Very cool , and very productive. Kind of hard to work it very deep, though. This is a shallow water tool.

i was a pretty serious fluke fisher for a long time and i LOVED the strike king zulu toos. then they changed the formula and theyre just not the same. i dont throw them that much in freshwater anymore opting for floating worms and things like that but i still will throw a fluke in salt water.

reccently though i have to say that i have really liked the strike king caffeen shad. it hasnt produced much for me yet but then i havent had the best conditions for it lately. i love the action though.

zooms always seemed a little too stiff for me and i felt that i had to work them a little too gently to make them not twirl. i like to rig my flukes a tiny bit too heavy (hook size) and make them sink a bit on the pause. thats probably why i like the new sk's and why i loved the old zulus.

Im in Champaign, but I am in Ramsey about every other week (thats where my wifes from). Me and a couple people are are heading to Lake Shelbyville's spillway on Saturday to try for some Muskie.  You should stop by, we are planning on being there around 8am.

The super fluke has been my favorite but after all the positive comments about the slug-o I am going to have to pull some of them out. I don't think I have fished one of them in years but used to have real good luck with them.

Someone mentioned the magnum fluke, it has been used with pretty good success here rigged on a jig head for stripers on Smith Mountain lake.

Cant go wrong with Zoom....
