Little Drummer Boy. ;-)

I know I said I wouldnt look until next weds..........but the weather is looking better and better, will be dealing with about a 10 degree front on thurs... but looks to be very little rain chances.

Been watchin Pickwick clips on Youtube.  Talk about ready to hook up the boat!!

I hear ya Bighead, I am pumped and ready to go!!!!

I might be most excited about just being around people that fish, LOL. 95% of the time I fish alone so I almost feel sorry for the guys fishing with me cause I will talk your ear off. HA HA

I still got some things to do......update the humminbirds, get grocercies for the week, tie new knots, nick knacks. Drill a hole to run my charger wire out of.

ARE WE THERE YET???

Trolling motor is fixed and on the way back.  Should be here tomorrow morning.  The crew is all set to function without me.  The F550 is up and running again.  Everything is coming together.  All little wash for the boat and truck this weekend and we are rolling out Monday afternoon with a stop outside of Atlanta.  We should be on the water before dark on Tuesday.

This is the 3rd one I have attempted to make and it looks like I'm actually going to get there. :respect-059:

Wish I could go to Pickwick, I had a blast on my first BR roadtrip at Pickwick.  Rhino is a barrel of fun !

I might have scared him off at Kentucky Lake with the "dry ride" I gave him in my boat.  It was 40 degrees with 30 mph winds when we hit WAY too many waves that splashed over the side right on Bob.  He was drenched right after I said that my boat way known for a dry ride!  :dazed-7:

Sorry Guys, I would love to be there but right now my priority is my wife, she is only 43 yrs old and has stage 4 bone cancer that has also moved into her lungs and liver.  I want to spend as much time as possible with her.  I will look forward to maybe the next Roadtrip.  Have fun and try to catch some big Bass !

Phase two of packing will be Sunday as I get three boxes from 22 for Pickwick......planning on a trip to Bass Pro while in Nashville also. Gonna fish tommorrow and then pack 5 rods in the Frabill rod carrier for the flight. Man this is gonna be so good to be seeing everyone and just immersing myself in fishing for a whole week!!! 4 Days and counting!!

Headed out in an hour guys and gals. See you all there.

Jeff

I'm jealous I cant be there until Thursday!

Post up what bite you find.  We'll be there Wed. and want to hit the water by noon.

Try a spinner bait.  Caught a few last weekend on one.  No big ones, but  did not start throwing it until later in the day.

We too are ramping up and will load up on Tuesday.

Hope to be there by 12.......but we will have to see. Wanna fish Wednesday so hope we make it in time.......else we will have to takes Long Mikes way and slip in late.

But I am pretty sure we will be there by 12.

Talked to the guide I hired for Wednesday.  He says the fish are up shallow in the creeks on wood and other structure.  Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, jigs and texas rigged worms are the ticket this week.

Looks like while you guys are partying on Pickwick, I'll be working the back creeks on Smith Mountain Lake.  :)

Tight lines everyone.

Oh man Bob.  That's terrible news.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  I look forward to fishing with you again someday.  God Bless you in these tough times.

Simp,

I will not be there this year.  I have family priorities that same week of the Roadtrip.  Hopefully next year!!  I will be watching your posts intently and will be living through you all vicariously this week.  I wanna see some pics of "forced perspective" monsters!! :)  Have lots of fun!
