Not a Gimmick. KVD line & Lure is the one that I use.

I use it. Works wonders like the other guy said try the kvd line and lure.

KVD line conditioner is the real deal, especially on spinning gear. Line management and castibility have never been better since i started using it.

KVD Line and Lure works great even though I thought it was all hype at first. Try it on some soft line like Trilene XL, and it's like fishing with sewing thread. Love that stuff.

It isn't a gimmick and it does work, but so does warm water out of the tap. I bought a bottle a couple of years, was not dis satisfied, but not overly impressed either, not enough to purchase it again.

It does a great job softening up stiff line to make it more manageable. I don't use it often because of the price but it can make life a lot easier if you're having line problems.

never used anything like it. when my line is old i re spool. braid lasts forever and mono is cheap enough for me to replace once a month. i don't use fluoro but it seems a lot of guys need to use line conditioner in order for fluoro to behave properly

I haven't used the KVD brand. I use Reelmajic on my braid and it works well. Less tangles. It says it can't be used on Floro. So I'm thinking I will try the KVD brand too.

The thing about KVD L&L, is that it is a polymer based product. The majority of other products are petroleum based. L&L will actually bond to your line and not wash off like other products. It will also not harm your reels or attract dirt, etc. I am able to use flourocarbon for a long time by using L&L, because it keeps it manageable. That really helps, considering the cost of flouro.

I used KVD's brand when necessary. I used to use it on braid, but no longer, and since I've spooled my spinning gear with braid mainline, I don't use it much at all except on baitcasters w/o braid. I've only bought one bottle of it and still have plenty left.

But I do believe it works as claimed. Buy at least one bottle and give it a try, only then will you really be convinced - or not.

Can I ask why? I've only had braid for a little while and haven't been able to see if there is a difference by using KVD, but if it won't help braid any, I would be able to save it a bit by only putting it on one reel.

That said, I did notice a dramatic positive effect on my baitcaster with mono. I got twice the distance with half the effort and it greatly reduced my overruns.

I simply didn't find it necessary on PowerPro. Didn't make much, if any difference, that I could detect. On mono or FC, yeah, makes a diff.

I've read it's great for all lines, even braid, but just didn't seem to live up to the braid claim in my experience. Thought it a waste of a $9 bottle of KVD to spray it on braid. But I bet there are some guys on this forum that have a different opinion.

Perhaps a different brand of braid responds differently. Pretty much just use PP any more.

No he didn't. The aerosol can of Reel magic can't be use on Flourocarbon. Says right on it.
