Mine is a spinnerbait too. I've caught ONE fish on a spinnerbait since I've been bass fishing (summer of 08), even though I always hear how well it catches bass.

definitely a spinner bait

then shakey head/jigs

and rattle traps

I'd rather stick a fork in my eye than fish a Carolina rig all day.

I would have to agree... that is more of a pain than it is worth it to me

Carolina Rigs are a bore, but I will still toss them because they catch fish for me.  I rig them with a white fluke and dead stick them once I feel the sinker contact the weedline.

Jigs.  I've landed a couple of small fish swimming jigs around, but thats it.  I keep trying to use them, but I lose a lot of them down deep.  No confidence in a jig at all.  It kills me because I know they're supposed to be great baits, etc etc.  I just suck with a jig.  This will probably be another year where I swear to try using them more and just eventually say screw it.

Another vote for the Carolina rig. I keep rigging them up and throwing them when I think the conditions are right ~ problem is, they never are . . . .

senkos, tubes, and dropahot

Carolina Rig...

1. No confidence

2. Can't cast it

3. Rather work on other techniques when the bite shuts off

4. No fun shopping for sinkers and glass beads

I only bust out the senko when nothing else is producing because it is just not as much fun to fish as the other presentations. I also try to avoid tubes and flukes

Topwaters! Spooks, poppers, frogs... I hate them all! My friends think I'm crazy, but I just can't stand fishing topwater.

Blasphemy ;D ::o;)

anything that is not a soft plastic

except buzzbaits

CRANKBAITS!!!!!

I hate them....

As a landlocked fisherman of small weedy ponds i can cast it reel twice and then im hung up.  I also dont like spinnerbaits, just not my thing :-?

As productive as they are I do not like any plastic worm, too boring for me, I'd rather watch the Sound Of Music with Julie Andrews.

All I use in Florida for bass are hard and soft jerkbaits, rebel poppers and spoons. I'll use a jig or crankbait just for a rare change of pace.

Anyone have a bait they just hate to use even though it's a proven bass catching bait. I have to say mine is a spinner bait. It's a proven bait no arguements there, but I just can't fish one and be productive.

It really irritates me too that I hate fishing such a versitile bait. But I have no results hardly when using one and for that reason I rarely throw one.

Same here, only I have been productive with them.  My problem with spinnerbaits is I have a hard time believing that they are going to out produce on of my other, more comfortable options.  I usually fish one 2-3x per year and thats it.

The Roland Martin helicopter bait and the Banjo Minnow.  I can't seem to get bit with these tremendous lures. I'd rather fish a Dancin' Eel than these baits.

Crankbaits...until I master depth control with these things, it will be a battle.

I get bit often enough using tubes (internal weight, texas rigged) but I have issues sticking and landing fish with this lure.  Maybe 1 out of 8 on average, over the past couple of years.

B---o M----w?  Don't you know just using those two words in that order can get you banned?  I thought the program blocked them.

Only one thing I hate to use, treble hooks.  Nasty things, especially with two or three of them dangling from a bait.

I'm with you on the weightless Senko, highly effective but when fishing deep water I'd rather fish crankbaits or weighted T-rigs where I can make 3 cast to every one that I make with a Senko. That said I'll throw it if I have to.
