Great Day Froggin

Featured Replies

We started out fishing a favorite pond on a cloudless day and 104 degree temperture and no wind. Very few bass jumping which is usually a negative sign for good topwater action. The big ones were active, the two of us caught about 40 each. The largest about 8# and many in the 2 to 4 pound range. We had some of the geatest explosions I've ever seen. Like a kid slamming a 20 pound rock into the water, unbelievable. It was one of those days when we might have caught well over a hundred each on senkos, but honestly we wouldn't have had near the fun. Spros and Booyah popper type frogs. What a day.

It doesn't get any better than that.

Hard to beat a day like that, it never gets old watching a big bass explode on a top water bait.

Man I was froggin all day today and I killed em! I caught atleast 16 fish and probably missed another 16. I was using a black ribbit frog (used white and bull frog too) with a size 5 Stanley frog hook. I started fishing early morning

I am going out tonight at midnight to do some night fishing with my buddies. Hopefully they. Ate dialed in like they were in the morning

Congrats...sounds like an awesome trip!

I agree with Mark. I want pics!! Nothin beats topwater action. I love gettin em on pop-r's and buzzbaits. I cant seem to get one on a hollow body frog. I guess Im using it wrong. Iv always just popped it a few times and stop, continue. Walk the dog maybe?

Awesome day! Love fishing frogs.

Sorry on the pics, not equipt. Each day may be a little different. We were pretty much walkin the dog, though there were times they crushed it on the stall. We even had hits when we were reeling the water logged frog in fast under the surface. Many took it deep. They just wanted that frog that day.
