Plastics Glue

Featured Replies

brand you use?

not the glue to glue plastics back together, I have that.

I am talking about the glue to tack a swimbait to a jig head to hold it in place. I have tried a few and either do not dry fast enough or does not hold enough.

Loctite is my prefered brand the liquid dries the fastest but gel is less mess or gorrilla has a super glue formula that works great but is a little pricy for me

Zap-a-gap instant CA and accelerator, or any other cyocranylate glue and accelerator. A couple drops of glue and a blast with accelerant dries in a matter of second, although waiting a minute will get a better bond. You can get it online or in any hobby shop.

X's 3 on loctite. Gray bottle with blue sides

I've always used loctite for gluing just about any plastic to a jig head.

I've been using the loctite, but have found that the liquid evaporates from the bottle when I leave it in my tackle box. That has happened twice now, so I get the gel and it doesn't disappear!

Loctite Gel is the way to go. Takes a little longer to dry but it holds great and doesn't run like regular super glue. No gluing your fingers together!  :respect-059:
