  • Almost 2 full days, and I am hanging in there. My head feels like it weighs a 1000 lbs, and I am in a fog, but I will make it. I refuse to regress.

  • Start of day 3, and I feel 100 times better than I did yesterday, I slept like a baby last night too. I still have that "foggy" feeling in my head, but the headache is gone. So far I am keeping the cr

Seeing as how tomorrow is the 2 week mark, I will celebrate with begining an exercise progrum. Baby steps............perhaps I'll just start off by walking to the bathroom really fast.

Don't jump the gun and change too much. Thats all we need on here are more small, thin nice guys like the rest of us. The site will become boring

Don't worry............in fact I might go too far the other way to over compensate. In other news.................yesterday.........the two week mark was brutal. I didn't cave, but I am sure it had nothing to do with being stuck in the house all day with my two kids because both my work, and their schools were closed.................yeah, that had nothing at all to do with it...LOL Today was much better, they had school............

Today is three weeks. Some would say I have been a little "snippy" as of late........But, 3 weeks, no regrets, got to just keep lugging along. One thing I have noticed, is I do have  vast stretches of time............days in fact now, where it never even enters my mind.  Then something stupid sets me off and then I'll have a few frantic moments where I am moody as heck, and need to just take a break. Hopefully that goes away after a while. My wife says it's getting better, and it's something that I am actually noticing it now. She said the first week and a half I was more jerky than usual.

Keep at it , it's a marathon not a sprint. We're all pulling for you. It will definitely be worth the effort.

Hang tough, and like others have said we're all pulling for you.  I've been checking this thread on a consistant basis, and its really inspiring.  I'm hoping to kick my smoking habit in the new year and knowing that other people are going through the same process, or have gone through it really helps.

Might be a good idea.

I remember as a kid, their used to be this one old guy that would play with us kids, at the club my parents belonged too. He always had a rag shoved into his mouth, to keep from drooling all over himself. He had had his lower jaw almost completely removed due to mouth cancer from chewing....

On the one hand, that will probably never happen to you. On the other hand, I'm sure that's what he thought.

Peace,

Fish

It's been two full months now. No regressions or cheating. And I have done my best to avoid weight gain during this process............I haven't lost any, but I haven't put any on either so that's a win-win. I feel better, more energy, I sleep 1000 times better, and fall asleep faster, I have saved money, and I don't have to tote a bottle of spit around with me every where. Why didn't I do this sooner...........or better yet when I have stopped before, why didn't it last. This time it will.

Money you saved on tobacco is money better spent on fishing gear.  Congrats.  Keep it up.

After two months it's pretty much all mental now. Good job toughing it out.

WTG !! great news , keep up the fight. It's apparent already that things are improving for you.

Nice job Farmer! I'm glad to hear you are feeling and sleeping better. That's gotta be nice. You should be very proud of yourself, that's a hard thing to do. Keep it up man.
