First time I've seen these Boomerang snips, they look nice.  Fingernail clips attached to a retractable string are the original version, I guess    The Boomerang gizmo looks cleaned-up, I like it.  Quit smoking 10 years ago, so the lighter is gone too, thank goodness.

I have some BPS braid scissors that work well.  But most of the time I just grab whatever knife I have in my pocket which is usually a Spyderco Delica or a Benchmade Mini Griptilian.  They work just as good as the scissors and I don't ever have to look for them.

Boomerang tool is awesome. Used to used berkley hot line cutter but the Boomerang tool out does that because I found wind would render heat up times. For 20 bucks its a awesome choice. Havent seem them before youtube them.

  I have used a Calcutta forceps with really good results, until I dropped it down my ice fishing hole a month ago, and lost it forever.  There is a cutter if you open up the jaws, at the back of them, like some needle nose pliers have.  It cuts good, and if the fish inhales your lure, you can also reach way down there and get it back.  Here is what they look like :         http://www.westmarine.com/fishing-tools/calcutta--calcutta-stainless-steel-tools-forceps-7-1-2--7245699

Depends what size the braid is. Usually just use my trusty filet knife. Gnawed through some in a tight spot one day. Really have not found a more effective way then a knife or razor blade though. A pack of blades cost .50 cents. My knife cost me 15 dollars 9 years ago. A specialized cutter cost 25 or so dollars. Why on earth would I invest 2 crankbaits worth of money into a braided line cutter?

Lasers. Sometimes sharks. Sometimes I combine the two, and keep it on a retractable belt clip. No front pocket with those sharks though!

I have also used: a key, broken glass, a hook, tore a beer can in half, a sharp rock, a spinnerbaits blade, a burr on a chain link fence, and a stop sign....but usually sharks or lasers.
