Favorite Lipless Crankbaits

Featured Replies

I was just wondering what your top 3 lipless crankbaits were? (Brand) also what color you like them in. And if it isn't to difficult what your #1 is

Another vote for the 3/4 oz red eye sexy shad. That bait accounted for three DD's over a few days time.

I am a big fan of the 1/2 oz Red Eye Shad in Gold/Black Back. I'll switch over to Blue/Chrome or Sexy Shad for clearer water, if necessary.

I've got that one. I just bought a koppers livetarget bluegill. Im hoping it works as well as it looks, because it looks amazing.

Hard to beat a Rat-L-Trap in chrome this time of year.

For grass the Red Eyed Shad. For riprap, shade lines, and docks the Super Spot 1/4 ounce.

The super spot is a probably a little offbeat from the norm but it is a much more subtle rattle and has a slower fall than most. Just works great on one of the lakes I fish. Sometimes its hard to keep the walleye off of it though.

Don't know how I forgot this one. Rapala rattling rap. Cheap and straight catches fish

Xcalibur XR50's and Cotton Cordell Super Spot

Red Eye Shad in mostly sexy shad. I'll throw others but I have a RES tied on over 90% of the time I'm throwing a lipless crank

You sure you guys aren't posing with the same fish?

Only kidding. Sounds like I need to start throwing a 3/4oz more often. Nice fish!

1/2 ounce rat-l-trap, and a 1/2 ounce Cordell spot. That is about all I use.
