I have a tournament tomorrow, and the lake is in rough shape.. This is my first year of seriously fishing bass tournaments and I have no clue what to do. Prefishing stunk! I threw cranks, jigs, spinnerbaits, you name it.

There is only about 10" of visibility and the water is hovering around low-mid 60s. Anybody have any recommendations?

In stained water I prefer opaque bait colors for low visabilty. I know a lot of people subscribe to bright colors, but I prefer a dark opaque bait. I break color patterns in to two groups that I use. Opaque for stained water (black, greenpumpkin, etc) and translucent for clear water (watemelon, smoke, etc). 

Black blue jig or a black backed chart side crankbait mid diver would be two things I started with.

The comments above are pretty good. I ran into the same problem a few days ago. Couldn't buy a bite! I threw all of the above and left empty handed. It was my first time at this lake. Hopefully next time I'll turn my luck around there!

Black/blue jig with a bigger profile and rattles. Junebug colors. Maybe something that causes some commotion; Bladed jigs etc.

Your fishing right now but that situation says black buzzbait to me.

I know this won't help you now but this morning I bested my previous pb on a black and blue Seiberts outdoor dredge jig and the water was chocolate milk that pb lasted an hour then was bested using a black and blue chatterbait those were the only two bites j got all morning so I vote black and blue

1. Blue black rattlin' jig with a matching rage chunk

2. Big colorado spinnerbaits or double colorado with blue black or chartreuse skirts

3. Black Buzzbait

4. Blue Black, Junebug full sized brush hog

5. 1/2 Ounce Red Eye Shad in Chartreuse, Chili Craw

6. Norman Fat Boy Crank In Chartreuse or other bright colors.

7. Any big, fat, loud crank in bright colors

 

Fish tight to the cover!

I am not going to suggest any baits but  that situation fish whatever finesse baits that you have confidence in. It doesn't matter what I can catch fish on or anybody else on this forum! Fish whatever finesse baits you have confidence in and concentrate on llen

Big, dark colored jig or a black and blue bladed jig. Pretty much all I fish in dirty water. 

Throw some black and blue jigs and pitch to the shore line, if it's sunny they'll be around some cover, shallow docks lays downs, etc land that bait anywhere around 8-16 inches from that spot , if it's cold and windy good luck, I would try a little deeper water and slow but bright presentation. They would be holding tight to some cover slow rolling a bright crank or or red and black such as crawfish over underwater cover as logs rocks stc and go for a reaction bite. On the 6-12 foot range.
