Yeah it was funny I pitched it up by a bush that was over hanging the water and she hit it right as it hit the water and I set the hook but it really didn't feel that big, I about fell over when I got it closer and saw it swirl. Muddy water put a dampner on the bass fishing in my area but is just starting to get better.

My buddy got a good one this morning on the Spro Rat in Morning Dawn, 4lb 13oz.

 

I had just caught a solid keeper and hadn't turned the camera back on unfortunately so I only got the end of the fight after I popped the camera off my windshield and held it while I lipped his fish.

Caught my largest of the year last Thursday evening on a 1.5" Bill Lewis Trap! Weighed at 5lbs 7oz. and just under 22".

Fishing has been good up here in the northeast !

 

Got this one the other day in Maine.

 

7 lb 8 oz head, private pond, Marion, AL.

 

Duckett 7' MH Micro Magic, BPS Pro Qualifier 6.4:1, 12 lb Moss Green P-Line, 1/2 oz Watermelon Red Dirty Jig (football head) w/ Rage Tail Summer Craw trailer + blue Spike-It

 

1 + lb bream caught on random light spinning rod w/ a little KVD crankbait of some sort...

 

These are all of the notable fish I have caught in the past 2 weeks. I know this is a bass forum but I didn't see any reason not to share! 

 

 

15 pound bonitos+light tackle=20 minute fight

d**n man, I wish you would post more pictures of the hogs you catch. It never gets old seeing the pictures of monster bass that you somehow pull out of Northeast waters. Awesome fish. How big did she go?

That fish only went 5 lbs 14 oz.

Lake Kissimmee on White Terminator Spinner Bait silver and gold willow blades, white twin tail grub trailer. 7 lbs according to the scale. She was released right after. I do hope I see her again on a Tournament day.. like this Saturday would be just great!

I just started fishing for bass this month, and I caught this one at lunch. It felt like it weighed between 1 and 2 lbs, but that's a guess.

 

Can any experienced anglers tell me what kind of bass this is? This was in Gaithersburg, MD. Thanks!

Did a little river bassin' today from the kayak, plenty of bass, green ones and brown ones. Caught fish on: 6" Bullshad, Senko, T-rigged trick worm, t-rigged speed craw, war eagle spinnerbait, KVD 1.0, X-Rap, and a 1/4oz spro bucktail. They were very hungry so I just started experimenting with different baits.

 

This fish ate a spinnerbait that I was bringing through a laydown, she tried to go back in and was rubbing my line on a log, I was so involved in the fight that I didn't realize what I was doing and rolled my kayak over! BUT I GOT THE FISH. Also recovered everything that fell out of the kayak. She was 19" long and spit up a 7" gizzard shad. People still wonder why I throw a bull shad...

I put the bucktail on as a joke but I ended up doing extremely well with it, on both green and brown fish. If guys can do it on deep ledges I can do it in a shallow river right?

Thanks! I was not 100% sure it was even a bass, so at least I got that part right

 

I do have a little book that shows all the different kinds of fish, but everytime I pull one out of the lake they all kinda look the same to me...except for the catfish.

Nice fish, looks like a golf couse you were fishing. Where was this at in Gaitherburg?

Got another nice one today. Wasn't expecting to pull this fish out of a laydown on a flipping jig. Thought for sure I had a 5lb largemouth. Nope, 18" 2.8lb smallie. Boy can they fight!
