In a couple hours, Bob caught about 20 and I caught four, but we tied in having a great time.

Katie, you're not telling the whole story. I caught twenty and you caught four because you were fighting a 17mph wind and keeping me in the prime spot. You didn't hardy get to fish. You only caught four because you only cast four times! Your kindness is legendary and no one here at BR would be a bit surprised.

Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

Had my boss and his son over today . Primary goal was bream. The 2nd bream Alex hooked , as he had it almost to the dock , a bass clobbered the bream and he hooked the bass right in the corner of the

  • So I went fishing today, and caught a 9#. Scale bounced between 8-15 and 9-2, but let's call it a 9, shall we? NLMB trout eater.   Super slow rolling a 8" weedless on the bottom in about 15

@Swamp Girl they are a blast. Topwaters in general have taken me a while to get the hang of. They only really started to click for me last year.

I decided today come hell or high water I was going to fish my two least productive baits: the frog and the Buzzbait. But once I got bit on the Buzzbait it never left my hand.

We are! Bob's my buddy. He does have a wounded wing. He had shoulder surgery this spring and the bass keep wearing him out. I love how he loves walking through the woods to the pond...like me! For Bob and me, it's not just catching bass. For example, it's watching the birds and talking about them. I asked what a white-breasted black bird with a white-tipped tail was and Bob explained that it was a Kingbird, which flutter hovers in the air as it hunts bugs...and it does! We were both happy to see a grouse rise out of the bog, something I've never seen before that moment.

And the carnivorous Pitcher Plants are blooming and we both enjoy them too, but most of all, Bob loves the bog. I'm Swamp Girl and he's Swamp Boy.

I had such a great time! Katie, you're combination of, kindness, generosity, and just plain tenacity is unparalleled. I had to find a new gear just to keep up with you. We walked for miles (yes, I mean miles), through old city streets, harbor towns, and beautifully wooded trails. Your pond is magical, and your beautiful Maine woods are enchanting. We easily topped 150 bass in five short trips (trips were cut short due to my shoulder not up to Maine standards). I came home with bandaids on both of my thumbs and a very extended tummy due to seafood overload! What a great time with my buddy from the northland!

had a fun Sunday. Went down to the dock and caught a shellcracker and a bass before even jumping into the kayak. Then caught some more LM and two catfish before 10 am. After that , we met up with some friends and paddled the canoe up a creek way up lake, caught a SMB

Last week they needed something juicy dropped right on their heads. Fortunately, the old Zoom Lizard was at hand.

Thank goodness you didn't post a photo of this embarrassment. It would have completely mooted your other catches and reputation.
