Is this a spotted bass or just a largemouth with som pattern?

I believe that is a largemouth

Hard to tell from your picture, but it does appear that the jaw stop in front of the eye, that would indicate a spotted bass. But again it is hard to tell clearly from your picture.

You are in Wisconsin, you do not have spotted bass. That is a largemouth.

Hold the dorsal fin up, if it's connected like a smallmouth, it's a spotted bass. Can't identify this bass without a good closed mouth profile and dorsal fin extended.

That is a WI large mouth. Every WI large mouth I have caught. Has looked like that. Except in a few clear water lakes. The ones I have caught in clear water. Are very bright green. With small black bars or dots. While the ones I have caught in muddy water. Look just like what the pic shows. Small mouth are the same way. My buddy and I. Have caught sm that are almost pitch black in local waters. While about 15 miles up stream. Were the water is a bit clearer. They are usually a dark copper color. While Green bay. It is not uncommon to catch bight copper color sm. In the end it all come down to water color.

I believe in addition to Tom's advice, you can feel the top of their tongue and if you feel a rough patch then it's a spot, if completely smooth then it's a largie.
