Snow Alert!

Featured Replies

We get some snow but we don't worry. If we have to, we can always eat the children.

And hunt other people.  We can make a city called Terminus!

  • This reminds me of a story I may, or may not have told here once about a guy at work who was a "prepper" for things like this. He would boast how much water/food/etc.. he had on hand in case of an eme

  • You think that's a southern thing?  It's even more a thing up here.  It's pretty hilarious, really.

  • I'm more of a meatloaf kinda guy myself.

Call me pessimistic, but when the zombie apocalypse does happen, I'm thinking being nice goes out the window.  That's just me.  I'll be in a tree, waiting for ww2farmer to walk out of his neighbor's place with the food and water.

Oh being nice yes... but going out of your way to kill someone else to take what they have... esp when you can "prepare" now.  Just a lack of responsibility IMO

But don't hurt him to bad Francho! lol

But oh well, no worries... I'll just lol with yall!

The 3"-4" they predicted here turned into a dusting. As little snow as they were predicting, people still went crazy! Wife went to the store to get some english muffins and medicine for the sick kids last night and the place was CLEANED OUT.

Supposed to get snow in the sooner state today. I should be meeting it an hour in to my two hour drive.

The days it doesn't snow here - we get an inch - when it does snow, we get these little gems . . .

Light snow here, but what we have on the ground is melting. Luckily the temp is 34 and this stuff is not sticking.

I am ~ well semi-retired (I do some work from home)

But to your point -   As much as a little snow is an inconvenience, My Dogs are all about it . . . .

Plus after dodging Hurricanes for 3 decades - I'm good.

First time this season we had to call it quits because of snow. Not a terrible huge amount yet, but it's a wet, heavy, slippery, kind of snow, and we have had two semi's go in the ditch already this AM. Time to call it a day.

Walked outside last night here in Northern Alabama and could have swore flurries were falling... I walked right back in and ignored it.

If they're "non-essential", what are they doing there in the first place? I always wondered about that.

Cone on, tell the truth.  If you guys ever decided to head south, the boss would be driving, the dogs would take up the rest of the space inside, and they'd have to tie you to the roof!  :D

I just installed a whole house 22,000 KW generator and can't wait for the snow and  an ice storm to knock out the power.

We have food to keep us going for about a month.

School's closed. White-outs, heavy lake snow, and sub-zero windchills are forecast for late morning/early afternoon. We're not putting any trucks on the road, and even if we were, I wouldn't be there, I have to stay home with the kids now.
