My philosophy is...If you need energy drinks, then you need exercise! Exercise will give you all the energy you need :eyebrows:

I drink a monster local Moca every day on the way to work!

When deployed I lived on rip it's and monster rehabs. Since being home I drink monster ultra white from time to time I used to drink two a day but have cut back to Friday's only now.

I drink them and coffee every work day. The meds I take for my spine can make me really drowsy, and the drinks help combat that.

The Rehab is tasty stuff, and surprisingly low on sugar.

A cup or two of folgers classic every morning for me but I'll pick up a blue Redbull every now and then. I think they're delicious.

For some that is not an option, or does not cut it...that's when people turn to PEDs in a can. ;)

^^ This ^^ ... I have replaced alot of caffeinated sodas, energy drinks, and 5 hour energy drinks with various forms of tea made by a company called Yogi, Naked juice, and more water and exercise.

Don't care for the elevated heart rate and internal health damage energy drinks provide.

I have quit drinking them, they made me feel worse just from the affects then from the energy aspect. Never drink one before taking a test or working with small objects. I did and could not function properly, my heart was beating what felt like out of my chest, my hands were shaking, and I was kind of twitching.

And mine focus just drained. Some kid who played on my baseball team collapsed after drinking one before a game. To sum it up they kind of suck for your body and can lead to some pretty serious heart problems. NOT worth it at all.

Haha I know right. I tried monster awhile back just for the heck of it, didn't notice much of an increase in energy but man when it wore off in like 2 or 3 hrs it hit me hard. Got all shaky and felt like taking a nap. Seems like something you could really get addicted to. I spend enough on fishing already.

Ya energy drinks taste terrible. I can't even explain what they taste like. I'll take a mtn dew any day.

I use them like a tool.  If i have to drink one to stay awake on a car trip then its worth it to not fall asleep and die.  I have only done this twice ever and its a last resort.  People who drink them daily are taking a risk to there health that they may not fully understand.

I'm gonna guess you've never worked midnights? I work midnight to 8am Sunday-Thursday. I've been working out enough and eating well enough to have lost 35 pounds in the last 3 months. I'm still exhausted most every night, especially right before work, and at about 0400. Sometimes, even with an energy drink it's all I can do to stay awake. I stick to the Monster Rehabs and Ultras, I don't have the buzz or crash that goes with regular strength energy drinks. At least there's a few good things in them, like B vitamins, pop is complete garbage in a can that offers nothing but empty calories. I like it when someone sees me drinking one and tells me it's going to kill me, while they're smoking a cigarette  :laugh5:  I only drink a couple of them a week on the really bad nights though.

Drink one a day....Monster Low Carb or Zero.  And yes energy drinks can be bad for you if you drink a bunch of them a day.  It's all about moderation and self control.  If you have high blood pressure and a bad heart, then no you shouldn't drink them.  Been drinking one a day for 6years or more since I don't drink coffee.....blood pressure is still perfect.
