Rain, frozen rain, sleet and now snow. Today we don't get above freeazing

and tonight we are expecting single digits. I doubt we will be able to get out

until Saturday. This is the worst storm I have seen in the 18 years I have lived

in Tennessee.

We need that global warming to pick up the pace.

If you need Libations, I happen to know a store that has cleaned its sidewalks and will be opening for business at 8am, for all the lucky snow day people!

I see the sidewalk is clear in front of the boozeatorium, but unless your "neighbors" clear theirs, it's a futile effort.

Meanwhile, we are getting another six inches of heavy, wet snow today.  I don't think we'll see grass until late April, if then.

sit around and watch taylor swift videos all day lol

2014 hottest year on record world wide.  80 here and I just got home from the beach.

Wow!

You know it is bad when Memphis is shut down.

Just remember:  Snow in Siberia.  The snow made it past the 60th parallel so we get clobbered in the US.

Weather reports for the rest of March show a warming trend so hopefully you can get out and on the water, soon.

What the hell is that a picture of? The mounds of snow beside my driveway are taller than my truck, lol. We don't even bat an eye at snow like that up here.

We had 4" of rain! It melted the 10" snow I got 2 weeks ago.. FLOODS.. Then sleet for 4 hours, then 10 to 14" of Snow on top of that... A couple days around 0* then back up to 50 & 60* Crazy, and problematic weather.. This one bites! It will

Flood again next week...

you guys also have more than 1 plow/salt truck for the entire state like we do in the dirty south

schools were closed here in the atlanta area 3 days last week..... we had a total ice/snow/sleet accumulation of less than 1/2 inch.  the struggle is real j francho......

  • Super User

Whatever, you took a day off. I was on my roof chiseling the 6" of ice that covered it to prevent leaking. That was AFTER I worked all day. The south is soft. Lol.

Yeah but remember it is 10 degrees warmer in the summer so they have to suffer through that

Man you guys can't catch a break!  Sorry to hear about that.  My neck of the woods has been having winters like that for several years, so I know it's rough.  Seems like this year, you guys are getting our weather and vice versa.

You guys are making me depressed, it's gonna be 84 deg here today...

J, i suffered through the hard times and severe dusting of flurries we received and actually worked all 3 days as brutal as it was.  however, i can assure you that each and every one of my employees was begging me to pull an inclement weather day or two!

I lived in Colorado for 17 years and understand "real" snow, but for guys that have grown up

in the South, it's just impossible to grasp why anyone would live "up there". It's not just the

snow...Who came up with a closed fishing season?

That's what we shovel horse **** with around here,lol.. Change out sawdust bedding for mares & stallions! d**n fine snowplow too!!

That's a coal shovel not a snow shovel

  • Super User

It is a coal shovel. I know because I have one, and they are EXCELLENT for shoveling chunks of ice from thawing and re freezing. This type, a pusher, and a typical scooper are all required tools for snow removal beyond a typical southern dusting. A flat ice chipper helps too.

  • Super User

I call that- a dust pan, a shovel, a stall muck, and a snow plow. It's a multitool- similar to a leatherman!
