After the $9.99 Shadow Raps that finally helped my buddies and me dial in on stubborn bass early this past Spring, my next best tackle purchase is a mobile app - "Knots 3D".

If I only used "Knots 3D" to correctly tie the Uni-to-Uni knot I use for my 12lbs flo leader to Sufix braid, the app would be we'll worth the $2.99.  However, it demonstrates every knot I'll ever need in 3D animation that's completely controllable.

What has been your most helpful tackle purchase in 2015?

BPS Stick-O's in Green Pumpkin and Junebug. Owner Twistlock hooks. Lew's HM85 rod.

My bigbait setup! It has opened my eyes to a whole new way to fish...and catch bigguns

Keitech Swing Impact 4.8s. I catch so many fish on these it's not even funny

Cabela's Fisherman series Jerkbaits and big 6" double jointed swim baits. Both at very reasonable prices and the Jerk baits work great! (I haven't tried the double jointed swim baits yet)

I picked spool of Tatsu FC at Tackle Warehouse.  Expensive but great line.  Lures though, Fat Impact from Keitech.

My favorite fish related purchase this year has been my inflatable pontoon boat.  It was on sale for $300.  I have seen similar ones go for $650 and up.  I just get in the water and I am off fishing.  It has been great for a few ponds and lakes that you can only use kayaks, canoes, etc. on

My new shimano Stradic ci4 1000

Lews LFS Speed Spool.

and next after that, another LEWS LFS Speed Spool.

Got a steal of a deal on 25 packs of SK Rodents, God knows I'll need them for how easy they tear up!

Also have been more then impressed with the new line of Zodias rods from Shimano.

The shadow rap and Bill Lewis Echo were two lures I was excited about this year and they both have produced for me. Also picked up some anglers choice baits and really like the killshot fished on a jig in stained water, can't wait to hit some clear water to fish it on a drop shot.

My Speed Spool BB1 just arrived. I'm looking forward to getting on the water with it next week. It feels really solid for a $130 reel (on sale at Tackle Warehouse) and it fits my hand surprisingly well. Hopefully I can pick up some bass/walleye on crankbaits and give it a good workout.

Yamamoto thin senko`s.

Been trying this year to get into some newer and classic baits that everybody uses that I haven't tried yet. These are all baits/techniques I haven't used before this year:

-Rage Cut'R Worm: Been whacking bass on this all year long

-Rage Craw: Great bait for a t-rig and trailer.

-Berkley Havoc Pit Boss: Haven't caught a ton of fish on this, but I really like it.

-Keitech Swing Impact: Great swimbait, I see why everybody loves them.

-Shakey-heads. LOVE these! Used to think they were a deep-water technique, but been whacking bass on them shallow.

Been getting into chatterbaits also, but have yet to catch a fish on one.

stick baits

Brauer Structure Jig with Havok Pit Boss trailer- it just catches big bass!

Shimano Curado I. Best reel under $200 I've purchased or used.

My best purchases this year-

Rods+Reels

13 ***

Shimano Curado I

Abu Garcia Ike Rods

Lures

Swing Impact Fat

BioSpawn Vile Craws

Rage Craw

Abu Garcia SX3, don't have to much to spend on fishing so this was kind of a splurge for me. I absolutely love it and can easily tell the difference from cheap reels now. Also got into using senkos, have picked up a bunch of those and love them

Probabaly Tatsu. It has kinda changed my mind on what I consider really good line. It is worth the money if only for a couple setups. You were going to spend that $ on some other crap you won't ever use or if you do probabaly won't catch fish with. Just buy it.
