I want buy a new baitcasting reel around $150. Im gonna be throwing just about everything their is, so I would like a pretty versatile reel. I want the obvious stuff also like a good drag, smooth reeling, and good casting. It would also be great if I could flip/pitch with it, and finally I would love it if it had alot of line storage. I know you can't have all of those things otherwise we would have the perfect reel, but any advice/suggestions would be great!!

Lew's Tournament Pros are going on sale for $149 with the introduction of the new LFS model. Originally retailed for $200. That would be my suggestion

You are going to get many different answers and they are ALL right.  You can get a heck of a lot of reel for $150 and MOST of them are high quality.  Go to a big box that carries a lot of different brands and check them out.  I would NEVER buy something like a reel without handling it first.  They become an extension of your hand and you d**n well better be comfortable with it.  A $500 reel is useless if it isn't comfortable in your hand and you hate using it.  Just my .02.

I like the lews alot they have been around a while and know what their doing not the mention they look sick. The only problem i see is that they like to say their reels are really light, and i saw a review and the one guy said the spool was alot thinner than his shimanos, thus you get less line storage. And i was wondering if that is a common trait or what?

Thanks guy for the help, but I think I am going to buy a Lews BB1Hz its smooth and i got some hands on with it, thr only thing is that i dont know how well the casting is but im just gonna trust the brand with this one

very happy with the 2 lews casting reels i own.  i have a BB1 and a Tournament Pro.  They are both nice, really love the tournament pro and i found it for $150 on the bay.

Shimano Curado I on Ebay or Citica I on Ebay...both priced below retail on there and both awesome. I've owned the Curado I and handled the Citica the other day in the store. It made me want one. The Tatula Type R is another suggestion or the regular Tatula. All winners

You'll see more people mentioning the Curado I than any other reel and for good reason. It's something that should provide you excellent all around performance for over a decade. You can find it for well under $150.00 online if you can wait for it to be shipped to you. There are a lot of good reels but it would be my pick at this price point.

Revo S is $130 and it works great for me.

Another vote for a curado.

You'll like the Lew's BB1, I have 2 they are smooth as butter. Once set up right they will cast a mile.

I like my Shimanos, Daiwas, Abus, Lews, etc., but have to tell you the Pinnacle Primmus is an impressive reel at just under $157 shipped.

Curado I any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Get some bearings to add to the knobs at it adds the cherry on top.

I picked up a Shimano Chronarch for $150 at Gander Mountain. 

I like the BB1 reels. I have two and one Pro.

You can do anything you want with them. Especially the Pro.
