Does Anyone Else Want Separate Species Forums For Bass Resource?

You know, I wouldn't mind seeing the Flea Market divided into buying and selling forums, or maybe even buying/selling forums based on what one is looking for.

For example, I'm actively looking for a new rod of a certain type and length.  Scrolling through all the titles is becoming a bit tedious.

There's a robust Search function. That narrows it right there even better than the topics, although...you can even search WITHIN TOPICS!!! It's incredibly convenient!!!

I've been waiting 10 years for a food and grill forum...and waiting....and waiting....and waiting.....and waiting....and waiting.....and waiting....

And you are still waiting. :Idontknow:

that is actually not a bad idea.

The search function at the top of the page will narrow it down for you. I use it to try to clean up post for items that are sold to prevent members from wading through any of those post and it's a very efficient way to find post with certain keywords.

The "Other Species" forum already doesn't get much traffic as it is. I'm an avid multispecies angler but I like it how it is because I like reading about everyone's catches without having to click through 10 different subcategories.

It's been shot down everytime it's been brought up. I think the mods have something against scrapple

A simple post in the flea market such as "WTB" (Wanting to buy) is in order for such things. Then the rods come to you. Pretty simple really.

People that want certain threads could easily start a thread saying "striper thread", "saltwater thread", "trout thread".

It would be no different than how the different location threads have more specific areas inside them. Do that. If it takes, good for you. If it doesn't, the mods will send it packing!

One of the things that made me sign up for bass resource is because it isn't cluttered like other forums.

This is true, trust me. A post like that will flood your inbox with personal messages of people who have rods/reels to sell.

A bunch of old timers who don't like change.!

troutresource.com, catchy.. lol

People will think you're talking about swimbaits. ;)

This is BASS Resource, I'm sure all those other species have their own forums.  If I wanted to talk about carp fishing or crappie fishing or saltwater fishing, that's where I would go. This one is for bass.
