Since the best rod sticky links this thread, I'd like to add the Fenwick Aetos - at least until they're gone....can be had in a number of places for less than $100 now.....incredible deal and great rod

$109 is a little above your range but my choice would be a 702s or 703s Dobyns Fury spinning.  Depending how heavy an action you like on your spinning rod one of these would be my choice.

Went to a Cabelas yesterday and picked up a Fenwick Silverhawk 6"6' MF and a Cabelas Tournament ZX 7"1' MH,Both casting.69.99 each,After taxes and a $30.00 coupon it was $119.00 for both rods
