My son and a family friend tore em up today in the St Augustine area.

Black drum, flounder, whiting, mangrove snapper, spadefish, and some big grunts.

Did a little panfishing and man, what a fun couple hours. Caught and released a limit of real solid bluegill, two crappie and one bonus bass. Most gills were 8-8.5" with two that may have hit 9". They were tall and stout being river fish and dang did they pull. All came on either a bobber/1" gulp minnow or when they got finicky, jigging a 3mm tungsten with a 3/4" plastic.

Bluegills and crappie are the most beautiful fish!

FINALLY cooled off this past week. The surface temp is down five degrees from 83 to 78 and the muskie are liking it. Caught six this morning. 34-34-35-36-39-40. Only took a pic with the 40. Best trip I've had in a while.

Thanks Katie. I had at least that many more follow, but wouldn't commit in the 8. All the fish I caught hit mid retrieve. I also pulled the bait away from a couple dinks. They were moving good today. I'll be back after 'em in the wee hours.
