My first whopper plopper bank find, ripped out of some tules along with a ton of old line that initially snagged my bait.

All the trash line they left in the water.

good job cleaning up the spot… and yes the “rigs” people assemble are often baffling.. half the fun of lure hunting for me is just that… examining the setup.

  • This was probably a nice spinnerbait back in its day, but I can guarantee the owner never caught a fish on it ?

  • Found 2 rods on shore this year at the creek. Seemed odd. I fished later than normal hoping the owner would come back, guarding the rods from would be thiefs. When nobody came for them I took them hom

Not exactly lost but.....I was going through some old stuff and found this guy in a mislabeled box I hadn't opened in years. I thought I had snagged all of the ones I had. Its like finding treasure.

Found a gunmetal shad Pointer 100 in the rocks, front hook rusted away, back hook down to two points. No cracks, no air bubbles when I held it underwater.

Scrubbed it as well as I could, some of the dirt is fully baked on at this point and actually looks shiny like it's under the clear coat. 3 new split rings and new hooks and it's going into my arsenal.
