It's my understanding that in Australia, a particular type of spider likes to live under the rim of toilets.

So not cool. This right here is one of the few things stopping me from seriously considering moving somewhere more southern. I have a deathly fear of spiders, no matter how big or small, and whether or not they bite makes no difference to me.

Then don't go fishing for peacocks in Brazil.  These are real.

Bird eating spiders....I used to import them for the pet industry.  Things gave me the creeps.  They jump, too.

Black widows do too. They really were a problem in outhouses.

Guess I will be checking under the seat next time.

I had a huge cockroach crawl out of my sink a few months ago. Not a spider, not a toilet, but it was probably one of the biggest cockroaches I've ever seen and it certainly scared the crap out of me

I have wade fished lakes and rivers full of big gators and water moccasins ,and have hunted thickets where diamondbacks and wild hogs abound. But big spiders make me jump or shout.Go figure.
