It is so DOOM METAL before that was even a thing.  Growing up, I was more a prog fan, but Iron Maiden was my jam for real metal, so you get a 10 for your latest.  I've been listening to a lot of other things, trying to break out of my 10 year intense jazz rut.  I always go back to the lead off track from Sabbath.  It's like hearing the birth of modern metal.

^7 Good to see some fellow metal heads here. For anyone who hasn’t listened to anthrax’s recent efforts I’d highly recommend doing so, their last two albums imo are their best work by a good margin and their old stuff wasn’t too bad.

On a related note, here's Dweezil Zappa talking about meeting his childhood hero and playing his guitar at his school talent show when he was 12 and then playing Eruption. I imagine he was the coolest 12 year old or whatever in town...
