For me it's the Neko rig and other nail weighted rigs like a chicken rig? I also plain to unleash some of my Rage Tail purchases from the winter.

Going to try the punch shot rig, that crazy weedless wacky rig idea I had, weightless flukes, maybe I will try fishing a Senko weightless. 

 

I've been around Robin's Barn a few times, and don't feel compelled to spread myself any thinner.

Too many cooks can spoil the broth  

My time will be spent experimenting and trying to perfect the lures & techniques already in my arsenal.

Thank you! It´s just one of those things i´ve never really set my mind to give it a try and latter in the off season got me thinking...  why not?

Spybaits. This will be the first year I throw them and definitely a technique that is not popular in my area.

Jerkbaits soft and hard And shakey head .. Have picked up a lot over this past winter and been watching and reading techniques as well

Believe it or not I am going to get in line with the Senko craze. I am kind of embarrassed to admit that this is the first year I have ever bought a bag.

 

I guess I'm a little slow to try new things!

Better late than never. They'll change your worm fishing. Too bad you got in when they are about $9 per package now. They started less than $5.

Not strictly new to me, but I'm hoping to improve at jerkbaits, swimjigs, and drop-shot.

Waiting for the ledge bite to try out tremor heads. Picked some up in the fall but never got em wet

It may be more of an achievement to catch bass without a senko.

Nothing that's strictly new but a couple things I haven't put a ton of time into yet. Shakeyhead for the tough days (got some roboworms that look too nice not to use) and swimbaits (hudd 68, some wakebaits/rats, s-wavers). 

Weightless fluke and the Ned rig. 

Shakey head for spawning , anyone else have personal experience with this or should I go lighter / smaller hook

What type of rig is that in the big picture? Are you tying to the hook?

You tie to the split ring, it is a punch shot rig. Here is the article explaining it. I had some piano wire in the shop that I used to make it. I went with steel weights, because I want support companies that make cheap non lead options for the average angler to use that can't afford tungsten.

Skipping jigs will be my new adventure this year 

I bought a 3 pack of rapala shadow rap jerk baits about a year ago because they were $5 each at a random location and I tried using them about 6 times last season without a single bite.  I have 3 patterns that run at different depths but they just did not produce and I got frustrated so I kinda gave up on them.  I am determined to make them work at some point this season.  I don't care if its a slimy friggin' pike that attacks it, I just want to have it work on something...anything.

They are the real deal, but I have watched big Musky bite two off, one on the 4th cast. Being new to jerks, I struggled hooking up the bites I was getting, but that will come with practice. I am trying them on a long steel leader to see if that works this year.

There are certain water temps that are tailor made for jerkbaits. Between 50 and 60 degree water temps seem optimum in the spring and fall that's not to say they don't work other times. They definitely catch bigger fish.
