Pork Trailers

Featured Replies

I bought whatever BPS had in stock of Uncle Josh last year, which wasn't much. Now I'm running low. Was trying to conserve, but this is my confidence trailer. Seems every time I switch to the pork I catch a lunker.

Does any other company make pork or other meat trailers? What can I make them out of? Pork Chops? Is that legal in B.A.S.S. tournaments?

@WRB posted instructions on how to make your own a year or two ago. You might be able to search and find it. Uncle Josh made the "Meat Frog" trailers at one point that came in a package like plastic worms. I have some bags of them but haven't fished them yet.

Pork catches pigs man. I hate that they don't make them anymore. Keep hoping some other company will jump into that spot.

This is great. Not exactly what I want, but I can cut them to shape. Thanks!

I'm really surprised that nobody picked up the slack on these. Maybe Uncle Josh is waiting for pork prices to go back down and then will start the run again.

Since posting this I've found a few instructions on how to make them. Need salt pork and have to follow a fairly simple recipe. I think I'll try tonight and see what happens. Lord knows I have enough empty bottles of UJ to use.

I can't even begin to tell of the confidence factor with these baits. Plastic just doesn't cut it for me. If I'm not putting on an impossible to get off again pork trailer I feel like I'm fishing with half a jig.

I used rind baits up until Uncle Josh pulled the plug on pork.

Sadly, "pork trailers" are now out of my life, including the fat girl that chased me in high school  :D

How often did you let her catch you? JK. Couldn't help myself. Please take no offense.

She was beautiful but was 10 pounds overweight, so I nicknamed her "Porky"   :)

Shooot! Only 10 lbs? I'd consider that just right. Maybe a tad skinny. ;)

If you hunt around mom & pop tackle stores pork rind trailers can be found at close out prices if you are not too particular about colors. It's easy to dye pork rind with Rite dye.

Lol...miss her do ya Roger?

Fishandsave.com has a few pork products. I purchased Super pork drop shot red 4" strips. They werent exactly what i was looking for. I wasnt really sure how i was going to use them so i threw them out. They are like $.80 for a container of 10. I was hoping for a twin tail type trailer bait. Once in a while they have free shipping promotions. Some great deals on plastics too.
