Sooner or later I'm going to have to think seriously about getting into shape.

My abs look remarkably similar, but strangely they wanted some winter insulation about 15 years ago and I haven't seen them since.

I'll be in that good of shape when Colonel Sanders starts selling free weights.   Way to go AJay.

  • You are a great example for us all Ajay. "The longer we wait the harder it gets.  The first step is the hardest." I agree with you 100%   My son says he has abs and you Dad have flabs.

Total Body Day 2 this morning.

My off day yesterday prepared me well for this one and it showed.

Currently on day 3 of a fairly persistent 'stomach flu'.

Besides being mostly no fun, I've had to modify my diet accordingly.

Meaning, I'm not eating much, OK anything.

#keyhole

Either way, it's going to be a few more days

before I can build myself back up enough

to get any benefits from a workout.

That's the plan anyway.

Are you supplementing anything for joint health and longevity? I started collagen, glucosamine, fish oils and turmeric to help with creaking joints and pain. Awesome work and physique!

Thanks ~

Besides a healthy diet composed of simple but wholesome foods,

I take it all and then some.

Have been for quite a while now.

Not exactly sure if it makes a difference or not,

but figure it probably couldn't hurt.

Looking forward to getting back at it.

Still a couple of days out.

With my recent intestinal issue finally resolved,

I was back in the home gym this morning.

Definitively felt like I had less in the tank,

but managed to complete Total Body Day 3.

Adjusted the resistance to make sure I still got the

scheduled sets & reps.

It wasn't pretty but I didn't skip it.

Total Body Day 4.

Waited until I could get an extra meal in me

and hit the home gym in the afternoon.

Wasn't my best performance (I never really feel like it is)

but it wasn't my worst either.

The beat goes on and I am very grateful.

Being capable of this helps make my 'average day' a bit more manageable.

After a scheduled off day and a mainainance day, I was back in the home gym for Total Body Day 2. Felt pretty good and I think the added day off was beneficial.

Total Body Day 2 this morning.

Been feeling like I haven't been recovering fully from many of the recent & more intense workouts. Decided to back it off a bit and started that with this one. Once I believe I am coming back right, I may bump it up a bit and see how that goes.

Total Body Day 3 this morning.

Still adapting to this 'less is more' training philosophy.

I can already see that as this moves along, self discipline will be tested.

Seems it always is though.

My world has been upside down for a year. Work and personal life has really put a wrench in my workout schedule. Never stopped, but no consistency. Looking to change the script this year.

Glad to see you’re still at it!

Hope your holiday season is going well.

Thank you my friend.

Sorry to hear you've been having a tough time of it.

Looking forward to hear how you turned it around.

Hope you & yours have a most excellent Holiday season as well.

Good for you A-Jay, you're to be admired.  I first walked into a gym 40 years ago and immediately became addicted to pumping iron;  very little desire for cardio.  Today I am 81 years old and still hit the gym at 5:00 A.M. at least 5 or 6 days a week.  The only negative is that it sometimes cuts into my time on the water.  Gray Power still rocks.

Here's to a most excellent 2024 in & out of the the gym for us both !

Total Body Day 4 today.

Still rolling with the less is more mantra.

Appetite's good, I'm sleeping soundly and I'm ready for the next workout.

Well, as ready as I can be.

I was able to get in a couple of workouts since I posted last Tuesday. Not so much lifting, especially heavy, but more of unlocking my body. T-spine, ankles and hips need some TLC, not bad considering I sit in meetings in front of a computer all day. Left shoulder was/is in tough shape. I had a restriction causing some discomfort in an overhead position.

Foam rolling and stretching is helping with t-spine and shoulders. Ankle stretches for dorsiflexion and sit-in squat is opening up the hips. Trying to get back a good upright bottom position in the squat. There's work to do here. Then again, this will be a constant for me.

Light sots presses, snatch balance, hang snatch and kettlebell figure 8's have been really helpful with getting back into it. Eventually I'll slowly get back into a heavier routine.

Hoping to feel whole again soon.
