Got any other broken rods? Or a thin metal rod that will fit inside the blank? Insert an old piece of rod or thin metal and wrap with thread then epoxy. People used to fix any rod for 10 or $12, see if there is a local rod builder near you or just give it a try yourself

Worth a shot since it's already broken. If you can't get the insert to stay put just ooze some epoxy inside the rod and let it stick to the insert. Might throw off the weight of the rod if insert is heavier than original material

I think those rods are already stiff to begin with so fixing one would make it even stiffer.

ouch ! been there done that, I was fortunate that st Croix replaced it. wish you the best with fixing it.

Turn it into a flipping/frogging stick? Or a broom to sweep the kitchen?

@TnRiver46 if it's a long rod then maybe yes.

@fishballer06 I used Abu products since I was was a teenager. A couple years ago I had an issue with two 6 month old Revos and they refused to help me! Itn was a known issue in the gen 3 models too. Sold all 20 of my Revos and moved on. Good luck with cs.

Have you seen that paneling? He's definitely got shag carpeting too. No sweeping necessary.
