I assume to get the motor out if the water if trolling through some shallow water.  I just trim up when I get to my fishing spot.  With the switch on the hi bow I could trim up only when I have to and not every time.

Exactly why you want a bow trim switch.  Very convenient.

  • Hey it floats!  Almost a week and I finally got it out on the water.  I'm following the break-in instructions for the engine, so I couldn't open it up.  I got the first hour out of the way.  I went to

Got my boat today!  Already about to get it opened up to install some gear.  Everything is really accessible and there should be no issues at all.  My dealer gave two tracker shirts to us... Almost ga

I got the same email yesterday, it says in the message body 3 to 4 weeks. Well for shipping i would assume that time lenght includes production time .Can't wait to get my boat tired of fishing from the bank.Although the Crappie were biting like crazy yesterday.

I would like to see some pics of the mod you did bayou. Why would you want a trim switch on the bow?

Hi, I’ve also received the Tracker email and following this thread . My boat was ordered 2/20 and been told it’s scheduled for production 10th of June . Wondering if the date is sooner?? Hopefully!!!

I never would have thought of that. How far past the bottom does the motor hang down?

I have never owned a boat till now with all this fancy stuff. ?

Maybe about 10 inches or more.  I will have to check.  My first boat, but I have been on others.  I am still learning from everyone.  That's what is so nice about this forum. Especially this thread.  A lot of us are first timers, but we have. The Vets on here passing on tips and helping along the way.

You want to leave a bit of the skeg in the water, otherwise you'll have trouble tracking while running the TM.  The stern will have a tendency to "spin out" on you.

I have a trim switch on the bow as well, but I never use it. I trim up at the helm when I get to the spot. Could be good to use if there is alot of current. Kind of use it as a brake to Slo yur Flo.

Make sure to check your boat trailer tire pressure. Mine were really low.

I agree, one of mine was good, but the other one was 15 psi above the max recommended pressure.

I got the same email, and I've had my boat for a week and a half! Not sure what is going on, but I'm glad mine came in early.

It won't let me post the pictures, I made a link with them. https://photos.app.goo.gl/JLFN0hpfODuZJqPp1 It was very easy I used the correct color wires to not complicate it. Basically the white plug with green red and blue wires are what you need to tap into under the steering column (it's a rats nest), ran the wires in the gunnel rail (it is hollow). Used a mom-off-mom switch from Academy's marine section. All wires are safe and hidden.

Ha, it is a rats nest under there!

Nice install.  I might just do just to do it, lol!

Thinking about getting a garmin with sidevu, just wondering how well the sidevu works if you mount transducer on transom. My lake is not on any lake maps so i want quickdraw mapping, but don't want mapping limited to when im only fishing, if it were on trolling motor.

I plan on putting one on....just haven't bought one yet.  They are pretty universal.  I have seen them on the pro 175s

My side vu works great on my transom.  I have it right beside the hook 3.  I keep the hook 3 on 83 and sometimes use 200... But the Garmin uses 77 and 200 for traditional with chirp.  The side and down vu is like 483 and up so interference is not an issue.

I like the quick draw.  One of my fishing reservoirs is only outlined, so I can now add the contours of the lake as I fish.

I like my garmin striker and echo units a lot.  The only thing is the side vu and down view is not as clear as others I have seen demos on... but none of those units have the quick draw feature.  I would say quick draw is very important now that I have used a sonar with maps.  When I am looking for look spots, I look at my echo map and see not only the coves or body of water but I am looking at the contours so I can see how deep, humps, points, and channels... I can see all of that before I get there. I saves me a lot of time rather than driving and checking them out, I know before I leave the ramp.

I have the echomap on my console, but this would be the same with a striker after you have drove around the lake a bit.

Good luck and hope you are still catching fish on every trip, even if it is on in the spare tire, lol!

Has anyone thought of putting a Bimini top on their tracker? I received the same celebratory email and on arrival I plan on having shade to hide the lady and dog from the harsh Texas sun.

Yes, I plan on adding one to mine.  I have been researching just what to get.  I really do not want spend a lot of money, but I don't want junk.  I want to shade my dog, wife, and myself on days where we just need a break.

Hey guys, is there a quick disconnect with the Lawrence 3X? I don't have the manual. I had mine moved to the bow but don't seem to see one. It's probably very obvious LOL

Just unscrew and pull the cable.  On the back of the unit, use two fingers to pull up on thr "T" darker colored portion.  It is spring loaded and not real obvious.  I guess good for theives... Should someone was t to steal this unit.

Aha! that was it! Thanks man. I did a couple searches to no avail. Pretty nice actually. Does your cable unscrew or just pull out? Mine just pulls out. I wonder if I'm missing something. Thanks again!

Very good info my friend!

Has anyone on here installed a recessed tray for the trolling motor foot control on the heritage? I'm tempted to run a flexible camera under the casting deck to check clearance of supports through the hole the trolling motor power comes out of behind the front trim. If not I guess I'll be the guinea pig lol

I'll admit it - I'm waiting on someone else to try first

It's screws in... They probably didn't screw it, but you can.  It is stable without and makes for a quick disconnect.  I don't leave mine on the boat and tuck the wire into the back of the unit.  It stays put.  I wish it had a gromit to protect it like my Garmins have.

I'm on a FB forum for the Heritage and it has been done even though Tracker said it would hit the cross supports. It was a little off center of what I think is the power plug. No drain plugged was installed from my understanding.
