It was fun...  The winner a heritage boat.  It would have been cool to win a heritage boat while fishing from a heritage boat.

That would of been funny! Good for you to take someone out fishing! Sounds like a great day!

  • Hey it floats!  Almost a week and I finally got it out on the water.  I'm following the break-in instructions for the engine, so I couldn't open it up.  I got the first hour out of the way.  I went to

Got my boat today!  Already about to get it opened up to install some gear.  Everything is really accessible and there should be no issues at all.  My dealer gave two tracker shirts to us... Almost ga

Well, there were many of us :).  Please tell me why though?

Just means, never judge a person's ability to beat the crap out of you by their boat.

Bass don't care what boat you fish from. But they will learn to fear the Heritage!

This is a first...any else lose there steering wheel center cap?

That's good to hear I have read and seen mixed reviews about mercury service.

Changing a LU is not that big a deal.  Pretty much the same steps as when you change the water pump.

Just a heads for those still waiting, I called tracker 3 days ago for a monthly update, they said it would be beginning of July when my boat would arrive. ( I ordered February 20th ) my dealer called me yesterday and said my boat has arrived and is ready for pick up. I’m assuming I got someone else’s that bailed on there’s?

Win for you!  I am going to try to take mine out this evening.  Go get yours and enjoy!

So I contacted my dealer today to let them know I had received the email saying my boat was shipped, then they tell me that there are 7 people in front of me for the boat and they have only been getting 2-3 boats a month so then she asked about the email again and said she would contact tracker and see what they said, they told her since I had received the email saying it had shipped that they had to honor it so it looks like I may get the next heritage the comes into the dealership!!

I had called tracker to sign up for the emails so I could be notified. The lady I spoke to said she had no idea who or why those emails were going out and that they weren’t accurate. I never got a call or an email and my boat showed up out of the blue. Pretty strange

Do you still have the cap or is it gone?

It's gone.  I have looked in the boat and battery storage box to see it is there... I hate that it's gone and trying to find another one.

Dealership where i bought my Heritage from has replaced the steering wheel center cap on other heritages they sold.

I am currently deployed in Afghanistan and was here when the boat was announced in December but wanted to wait awhile.  I was at a location where commercial internet connectivity was hit or miss and by the time I got back to my main operating base and attempted to order the heritage, it was missing from the site.  I called BPS Corporate HQ and they informed me that the best they could do was send me the number for the nearest BPS to see what they could do.  I called and was placed on a waiting list in the event someone cancelled an order.  I received an email yesterday letting me know that I was officially on the boat order list of customers and I made my deposit.  I know that many of the good folks on this site have been waiting for a while since their order, but fortunately or unfortunately (depending on how you look at it), I will receive my boat 1 1/2 months after I redeploy.  I can't wait.

Hope you enjoy the boat, thank you for your service, and you should be moved to the head of the line anyway....imho

Got my boat May 10th, and loving it so far EXCEPT one thing: cranking battery dies every outing. I'm pretty sure the electronics are wired to the cranking battery, and may be the cause. I can tell because two days ago I added another troll battery in parallel and those Batts hardly budge in voltage. Any thoughts?

If it isn't already, including your cranking battery to your 'charging system' with your trolling motor battery(s) can help ensure you start each trip with a full charge.  Does require a separate / additional bank on the charger though.

Im sure you had that connected when it was all hooked up. I uncovered my boat one time and the fish finder was on. Now I unplug it every time i come back. the trolling motor as well when storing between trips.

Thank you, I'll give that a shot. I've been bad about disconnecting things after a day out.

I did get a three bank specifically for that reason. The technician at the dealer said the motor should do a decent job charging the crank battery, but doing the math with the alternator output, you'd have to run the motor a very long time for any decent charging.

You got bad info ~  Incorporate your cranking battery into your charging system & be done with it.

Your charger should have a specific leg for the cranking battery. This should be connected to that battery only. The other two legs can be hooked to your deep cycle batteries. If you only have one leg for deep cycle you will not get a full charge on both batteries.

The motor will work the same as a car it will not put out a charge unless you run above a specific RPM.

Since the boat does not come with an hour meter, I ordered this one from Amazon. This will make it much easier or even possible to track the number of hours on the motor. For those of you that may not know this is an inductive hour meter it keeps track of running hours by the firing of the spark plug. I just have to remember to add around 2.5 hours for the first run in that the meter was not on the motor.
