Does it float?

Featured Replies

Looking for a good floating finesse worm. Any suggestions? Will probably be used on shaky head.

Most hand pours are neutral buoyancy meaning they don't sink. True floaters are very difficult to find today.  Z-Man offers a floater and there are a few others if multiple colors aren't your goal.

I use hand pours from Roboworm, Don Iovino and Uptons Customs, all available from TW.

Xcite baits maximus worms. They are 10.5 inches. I throw them on a Texas and carolina rig and then when they get torn I use them for shakey heads

Z man. Also reins worms will sit tail up on a shakey head.

Save some money on the Z-man stuff.  Instead of buying the TRD (their finesse bait) just buy bags of the Zinker-Z.  Fish them whole as 5in worms or cut them in half for your shaky head.  I really like the Elaztech stuff.  Very durable.

+1

I use the Z-man Zinkers, cutting them in half for a smaller finesse bait.

Strike King has two different worms made of elaztech, the Zero (similar colors to Z-man) and the Super Finnesse Worm. Both of these are available at my local BassPro, so if you have a BassPro or Cabelas close by,worth checking out.

My local BassPro also have the Gambler Floating worms. The colors are bright, but I have a friend that fishes them with good success. They are a 7” worm, but if he doesn’t want the big presentation, he just cuts of a portion of the head to make it smaller. Gonna try this over the winter.

A Zoom trick worm works great on a shaky head.

And you won't bust the bank purchasing them.

Haw River Tackle's bubble gum worm. Three different sizes and have all the colors you'd want. They call it a "HI-Float", and I'll even use it occasionally for topwater. Theyre a small 100% american company with really good people also, so I like supporting them.

Mann’s Augertail floats

UNSALTED Zoom Trickworm floats.

Squirrel tail worm, the tail floats up. If its really important to you, you can make any worms tail float by injecting air In to it with a syringe and glue

Look into the squirrel tail worm would be my suggestion.
